The fact that they are listed specifically as Cybertruck jobs says a bunch.

I think this is as much a message to the public as it is looking for workers. When they listed jobs previously for Texas, they never said they were for the Model Y. Is this normal?

It's the new normal.

Went into a Tesla shop today(Australia), wifey and I checked out the Y.. only because we were there..

Me: 'When do you think we will get the CT?
Salesman : non-committal, wry smirk.

Me: '2 Years' ?
Salesman : non-committal, wry smirk.

Me: '2025 ?'
Salesman : slightly miniscule non-committal, wry smirk.
(Turns around and looks at fellow salesman "Da fuck's he tawkin' about, mate?"

Didn't they show images of stampings with that rear casting in the CT BIW last month? They could have been making CT stampings for quite some time if they wanted to. They have all of the stamping equipment and have for a long time.

Maybe they are getting the new stamping line up and running, one that will be a CT dedicated stamping line.

What would be much more interesting, for me, will be seeing sample CT front and rear end gigacasts or CT exoskeletons. We should start seeing the former in a month or so, but we don't know what is going on with the latter. I wonder if maybe those huge blue-wrapped things at the SE end of the GigaAustin stamping factory are related to the CT exoskeleton manufacturing effort. I can hardly wait to see them slowly disappear as that will be a big sign of change.

Well, since we are fantasizing, I would love to see 'Senior Laser Weapons Engineer' and then we might guess that the CT would be rigged with laser weapons. Scary but maybe necessary in a post-apocalyptic society :)

This has been a subject that has only been touched on sparingly here, most in jest. But an amoured CT is the ideal base for energy based weaponry because it has 1MW level energy supply onboard for all your laser/coil/railgun needs.

But I'd be more inclined to use non-lethal capabilities, like sonic, EMP and anti electronic countermeasures, in more of a stealth passive mode type machine. Heat signature should be low, but SS is highly RF reflective, so it will need a dab of that black stealth paint. ;)

How about these water-filled 'paint balls' that have been recently used in drive-bys? An automatic water ball weapon...

I read somewhere that the CT would be available in North America only.

Lots of nonsense about the Cybertruck floating around.

It is still listed at least on Australia’s site and they haven’t refunded reservations in Europe either I don’t think.
