This is such BS lmao. If you smash your hand in the car door when you’re in the car you probably deserved it and would do it with or without a piece of plastic glued to the door. I have them and my 8 year old uses them just fine. They’re mostly for closing the door when leaving since when you’re inside I would assume you grab the interior arm rest to close….
Tell that to the numerous people who have already been to the hospital over it. I hope your 8 year old never ends with a permanent disfigurement because of something so careless as a stupid, dangerous, and unnecessary plastic handle INSIDE THE POCKET of the door.

Sit for a while and ponder as to exactly why Tesla didn't include this as a feature.

Going on the first road trip today. Should be around 225-300 miles. Quick run up to Gainesville, FL and back. Charged to 95%. Took care of some work while charging.

Have a blast. It’s the best road trip car ever. Except the Model x but that is a totally different kind of road trip

Thoughts from the first 12 hours of ownership. It drives great! Especially FSD; why I bought a Tesla. The sound system is great! Superior to my Lexus GX Mark Levinson (2023) and Porsche 718S Bose (2024). There’s a rattle in one of the doors with the subwoofer set to 4.0. If I tone it down, the rattle goes away. I’m going to try and pin point the door it’s coming from. I’m still new to all this, and I still don’t know all the controls and screen features. I had to call my cousin to figure out the AC shut off lol.
Cause for the sub rattle...IIRC is due to the felt floor lining under the rear seat. If you search these forums, you'll find someone who fixed it by adding some felt tape under the floor carpet.

What’s so different about the model x?
So my perspective is colored by the configuration and having three young kids but here goes.
The six seat interior is awesome for families. Everyone has a space and that means way less bickering. Also having 6 seats means there is an extra seat back there so either myself or my wife can climb back there fairly easily ,without stopping the car, to do whatever we need to do or just sit there to keep them company, play family games (including rear screen video games) or whatever .
It also means grandma or auntie or anyone else can roll with us when we go somewhere.
The middle space is a very nice climate controlled and accessible space to put stuff you may need access to while driving.
12v sockets in both the trunk and center console are nice. Can charge stations with two solar inputs at 240w instead of 120w and we almost always have a fridge with us. Of course, the Cybertruck wins this hands down with the ac plugs but I believe ithe x is the only Tesla that has two.
The falcon wing doors are legitimately MUCH easier to load and unload with car seats so that cuts down on that frustrating amount of time at every stop.
The ability to control every door from the screen is a convenience you don’t fully appreciate until it’s gone. We even added a power frunk so it really is, every door.
Then there is the FSD. I hope nobody stones me for this here but my wife’s model x (HW4) has FSD that’s SO much better than my truck I almost trust it as an autonomous driver. It’s WAY more relaxing for that reason. I’m barely watching most of the time.
We have free supercharging on both so the decision before roadtrips has to do purely with, what are the chances we’re going off-road and do we have anything huge to carry.
I can tell you for city to city trips, the x wins almost every time.
It’s also frankly less loud and attention grabbing which is good or bad depending on your perspective.
Overall I would say the x is our preferred people carrier and the truck is our preferred stuff carrier and adventure vehicle.

Yeah this truck breaks necks lol. I went to the ups store this morning, and literally everyone looks at it and also looks back too. 🤣. The X seems like a great family hauler!

My cousin said this is decent efficiency. 77-80MPH FSD. I had to take over when it was a torrential downpour for about 3-5 miles. I also had to take over while turning left off the exit; it drifted in the other lane and a Ram behind me honked.

First time I drove an EV two weeks ago in LA was my cousins Cybertruck! I fell in love with FSD and wanted one of my own! Ordered this week and awaiting pick up. Thanks so much to this forum for all the tips and tricks for an EV Noob. I already know what to look out for during my delivery. Decent deal with one year of supercharging and 0% financing. This thread will serve as my ownership experience with my new Tesla CyberTruck!

What the CyberTruck is Replacing. 2025 Q8. Great SUV. Drove Buttery Smooth, but it wasn’t practical for our needs. Lack of cup holders/storage space. Audi MMI is Atrocious. Took for ever for phones to connect, even when plugged in. Will miss the brown interior!

Any other vehicle from your past like is now irrelevant…trust me…you will never look back. How does the saying go? “I once was blind but now I see”. You just purchased the most technologically advanced vehicle ever conceived in my opinion. So truly happy for you. ENJOY!
