That kind of personal attack is completely uncalled for. While I disagree with @REM on the danger of those little inside door handles (I figure people should be responsible for their own actions), he almost always gives accurate solid advice and info. More so than the typical stuff I see on forums for sure.

My views on those handles might be biased by the fact that I got my hand caught in the door of the families 1964 Rambler station wagon when I was only 5 years old. Hurt like hell, 100 percent my fault. The wagon had standard door handles, I just fucked up. I never got my hand caught in a door again. Live and learn. By 2050 or 2060, all car doors will be slow close, they will be impossible to slam. But humans will just become more complacent, figuring the world is 100% safe and they don't need to take responsibility for their actions and find new dumb ways to injure themselves. Of course it will never be their own fault.
Did you notice that the lying hackjob didn't try to actually provide a refutation, he just wanted to disparage me lmao.

Good thing I blocked him a long time ago šŸ˜‚. Dude is delusional.

Okay. I’ve been on a flight for the past four hours. Napped and hour and half or so. Spent the rest of the time reading about my new CT. This forum and Reddit and Facebook. Reddit is terrible. The hate towards this truck is insane.
1. It’s not a truck. Umm yes it is, just cause it doesn’t look like every other one doesn’t mean it’s not a truck.
2. You can’t get anything out the bed via the sides. I can. Most people can’t do that in normal trucks. If anything this one’s better because of the entry height. I just drove through I-10 in all of Texas. El Paso to the Louisiana Border. The Amount of lifted trucks I saw was mind boggling. They’re not even using their beds. They can’t get anything up there without a forklift.
3. General hate for Elon. But everyone has to agree whether you like him or not, man has changed the world.
4. CT can’t tow. Last I checked, 11K pounds is sufficient to pull a boat or two skis to the lake or ocean. Or haul a medium dual axel utility or box trailer filled with atvs, work equipment, material. Etc.
IMO people are just haters. It’s cause Elon supported the President of the USA for a short time. Im not talking politics with you guys. Mom taught me don’t talk religion and politics with people you don’t know. All I’m saying is the points people are making online about how the CT isn’t a truck are all moot to me.
Ignore the FUD, Reddit is a place full of opinions, I try to avoid it most of the time. A lot of people hate things they know nothing about. Just makes them look unintelligent in my view. I’d be curious to hear about folks who have driven a CT and not enjoyed it. I’m sure they are out there. The SBW is very different than anything else, and those who don’t like change will make up reasons why they want others not to like something.
To me SBW is the single biggest game changer I’ve experienced in a vehicle other than FSD.

Love your CT, ignore the noise.

Ahhhh, another Ducati owner! The desmo L-twin exhaust note is absolutely intoxicating.

I love driving EVs, the instant torque, low center of gravity / minimal body roll is just awesome.

I do love the exhaust note and shifting through gears on my motorcycles. I get my kicks riding my Aprilia RSV4 Factory on the racetrack...the V4 exhaust note is awesome!
What duc do you have?

I miss my duc a lot. I’m a married man with 3 kids though now. My priorities have changed a lot.
I had a monster 600 and then a 916 biposta.

Both great bikes…especially that 916!
It’s funny you say that because the 916 despite it being the nicer bike always felt more serious and sometimes even a little scary. It was more of a bike than I was a rider if that makes sense. The monster was more a toy I could play with and enjoy. Even commute on.

I always wanted a 749. I felt like to was somewhere between my two bikes. I bet I would have liked it

The 749 was a great and underrated bike bc the design was so different from the prior superbikes.

Bay Area California. Go there multiple times a year. My in laws live there. Never actually realized how many Teslas are in San Jose. Thousands. Even CT aren’t rare.

Ooh. Please mod it into an actual fridge. I’m dying for someone to figure out how to do that.

I’ve seen threads and videos on that. I may try it. For $750 with taxes they should have had a plug on it….
