How did you get them to honor the 40K price?

I was one of the first to get my order in for an F-150 Pro. But Ford didn't honor the list and sold to whoever pleased them. I was also top of the list to a CT but declined to buy because I don't want an Foundation Series - it is over the top.

I ordered the Pro as a "City Truck". Wife likes to drive trucks and for 40K I thought, why not? For 40K, better than some sedan or Model Y. Great solution for Costco and back. And occasionally hauling sheetrock, etc. I was not deluded into thinking you could haul a boat to the cabin.

Anyway, both Ford and Tesla screwed with my vehicle plans. We drove old shit for several years waiting - only to be pissed upon by both. And I don't want anything without a warranty as in my area getting anything repaired is insane - so no well used Lightnings.

I had the opportunity to test drive the AWD foundation series Cybertruck today. I currently have a ‘23 lightning PRO SR that I bought for $40,000 after incentives as original msrp was honored for me. I had high hopes for the Cybertruck and was considering switching given the fact that I like the design. After my test drive of the 100k Cybertruck I can say without a doubt that the F150 Lightning PRO is head and shoulders above the Cybertruck.

Cybertruck wins on:

Styling (if that’s your thing)
Turn radius (it turns on a dime)
Range compared to SR
Heated and cooled front seats and heated rear seats
Rear screen
Air suspension
Tonneau cover and bed trunk

F150 Lightning PRO wins on:

Everything else
Acceleration (Lightning seems significantly faster to my surprise)
Frunk space (Cybertruck drink is ting)
Interior comforts (vinyl seats in the PRO are actually more comfortable)
Rear seat space (no comparison)
Steering (the steering wheel is very small and odd to use)
Bed (lightning bed seems larger width wise)
Read visibility (numerous blind spots in cybertruck)
Drive modes (cybertruck only has one pedal drive)
Interior quality (cybertruck is minimalist and seems cheap with too much plastic)
Overall driving experience

I really wanted to like the Cybertruck but the Lightning is a better vehicle and truck. Maybe Tesla will make some improvements in the next gen model. Certainly not worth the price it is currently offered at or even 80k. Maybe at $65k it would sell but I think the Flash trim would be a better option for most.

Great post, but as someone who owns a 2022 F150L Pro and the CT, I absolutely disagree. I will say that I paid $49K for my Pro SR in Jan 2023 and it was worth every penny back then and it still is in my opinion. Love my F150L, but the CT is superior In almost every way. I would say the main area where the F150 is much better is rear passenger space. That back seat is just huge in the F150. But in the front it is a different story since the CT has the large opening in the floor between the seats. I love utilizing that space with food, laptops, etc. I never have to place items in the passenger seat again. Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I live with both of these trucks every day and have for over two months now. Glad you are enjoying your F150, it is an awesome vehicle.

I have a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Commercial too. I'm waiting for my Dual Motor CyberTruck. The Lightning is great, except I have the smaller battery pack so the range is not so hot. Filled to 82% right now, from the Ford Pass App and it shows 183 miles range. Fast charging on the road is a pretty bad experience and I'm looking forward to when I get the SuperCharger adapter. The software is pretty sad compared to my Model 3. I won't buy another car without Full Self Driving as it makes long trips so much easier. I paid $65k for my Lighting and love it for its size and power but I can't wait for my CT.
