Did anyone set up the insurance and final payment before getting the option to schedule delivery? Those steps are shown after the option to schedule. I'm guessing you would not mess with those until you have a delivery date. I plan to bring a check from the bank the day I pick up. The insurance details say to return to purchase after you get a delivery date.

yes and they withdrew the final payment right away!!!! I have no vin and no delivery date and they took 30k out of my bank account. I was shocked I called and called to them about it and they couldn’t do much I was expecting it to fire and withdrawal on delivery day or at least not until deliver day was scheduled.

You can check in the app. Go to your CyberTruck, click the big blue "View" button.

Then swipe over to registration (should go there automatically), and click the grey view button under the registrant name.

Then scroll down to the section that says Tesla Location.

FYI, I just got off the phone with the main Tesla sales team and they told me when you get a VIN and no delivery date it means the vehicle hasn't physically made it to the delivery location yet. But once it's there your local service center will release delivery scheduling and then allow final payment.

They also told me my order was setup for home delivery, which I don't remember asking for. She said she could switch it to dealer pickup, so I had her do that.

that’s not true or for certain wasn’t for me. It unlocked after I completed trade in and financing. Maybe they’ve corrected that but I submitted it and it withdrew my final payment.

For folks who have had VIN assigned, did you have to tap the Vehicle Details button on your reservation in the app to see that VIN was assigned or how did you know you got your VIN?

That is how I found it. I did not get an email or anything. I guess that would happen when you can schedule a delivery.

Just been assigned vin today at 4:00pm Southern Cali, ordered date 12/9. Didn’t get any email or notification, just went on the app and I was notified I have a vin.

In other words, any VIN assignments for those work only the Cybertruck tied to their account?
