Picked up my father today for Sunday breakfast...used FSD (including parking in lot) to / from restaurant...he was absolutely blown away and marveled that 'my car' could do such amazing things...gotta admit, even thought I'm 50, nothing beats a nice compliment from pops:)

Did any of us ever imagine we'd see the day where you push a button and the car just takes you where you want to go? We all knew it would happen some day, but can you imagine being an old timer used to rolling windows down manually and spraying starter fluid down a carb? Mind blown. Until Tesla there really wasn't much innovation in the car world, sure body styles would change year after year, a feature here and there but nothing like this. I can only imagine what it will be like when my kids are driving and I'm the 80yr old man.

Shoot my 96 year old mother in law just passed her DL renewal and can drive my truck and loves technology.
I doubt your father was shocked about the truck. He’s just saying he’s happy. You can afford a vehicle with new technology and sees the changes coming he’s happy for you.

My cousin passed away a year ago. He was a mechanic all his life. I took him for his first ride in my MS. He just couldn't get over the fact that he was riding in a car powered by batteries. Then we purchased a MY for my wife. We had trial FSD and I took him for a ride to our burger joint. "I just can't believe that the car drives itself". Well after my CT arrived we went for a hour and a half trip on highway and secondary roads. He was just astonished at the ability of FSD. Now with tne latest update I am amazed. My cousin loved the Tesla cars after he rode in them. I just wish he was still here. Now... today....I get to pick up my mother, at 94 she loves to ride in the CT. I only wish there were grab bars for her to grab onto when entering the truck. She loves our Teslas. She just gave up her car in October. She would probably want a MY with FSD but there are no charging facilities at her assisted living facility. Thank you Elon for your vision and innovation.
