I actually like your techniques way better than the $78 tesla video you mentioned. 100% agree that this thing is already a walking billboard and advertisers would compete to put their name on it. I also think at least for the first year of ownership Turo rates would be well north of $100 a day. I would personally consider upgrading from dual motor to tri motor, and use Turo to make back the difference.

I get the idea, but this won't work well for those of us planning to use it as a work truck. I'm just hoping those tax breaks make up for it.

It's possible people wouldn't want to turo it with the advertisement on it. Or maybe you would just have to reduce the rate? Either way, I think my numbers for both turo and advertisement are really conservative, so it could potentially work out with either strategy.

What I'm saying is that it won't matter if I'm going to need my truck 5 to 7 days a week for both work and schlepping kids around.

Really, why own it if you're not going to drive it?

I Am toying with making a huge large led display for the entire truck ,or at least the sides. It would be cool trippy at night. Plus advertisements could be lucrative

Excellent idea. In Australia I've got it down to $35 a month, still being conservative. I upped the rate to $100 hire for 6 hours. Easy in Australia. Model 3's are hired here for $200 a day (though that's 24 hours :) ).

Five early reservations and I have officially decided to put them all out to Turo..... and made five more single motor around the 600k mark. I figure they will probably pay for themselves 3 duel 2 tri to start.

Not a bad strategy. I thought about doing the same. I need my vehicle for work but renting it out on weekends would help pay it off faster!

Cool. As an Oregonian I look forward to renting one of your CTs on Turo.

I came up with a creative plan to help make the Cybertruck more affordable! What do you think?

It's a good idea people do that now here in Australia through a company called evee.com.au you can rent out your Tesla.

I will probably do this with mine until I pay it off. I opted for the tri motor and in Australia it's going to cost like +$160k AUD which is hell crazy haha.

But I'm pretty sure my Bitcoin will fund my CT when it get it hopefully in 2021/22

Tri-motor is listed as $90k in Australia.
