Not always true. I had to pay all upfront (and still waiting on delivery after 9 days) because mine is being delivered to me in NY at Turning Stone Casino. Because pickup is in a Reservation all business had to be done prior - cannot transact monetary business on the Res. Also, ibhad to agree that I cannot refuse delivery. My only other option was to drive 330 miles, one way, for delivery.
Can you give us the details of your order ?

* date you got your VIN

* VIN Number range (6800, 4500, etc)

* Date you took delivery (if applicable)

I’ve seen a few different threads on the topic but figured we should start a dedicated one

Many of us who were expecting delivery this weekend received a text message last night stating that our deliveries were being canceled.

I was told that the delay will take a week

im hearing that it may be related to an accelerator issue… anyone have official confirmation from Tesla?

my cyberbeast delivery was scheduled for Sunday
Hopefully there won't be a recall for all the previously delivered CT's

I’m hearing that deliveries are resuming today. Have you heard the same or has anyone been able to reschedule their delivery?

I’ve heard the 23rd is the new date that deliveries can start happening… at least in SoCal. I have not received any updates since speaking to an advisor yesterday. I was encouraged to read that someone was able to schedule their CT delivery after the hold had started last Friday but again this is not confirmation that deliveries have been resumed in general.

I just went to Tesla and talked to a very helpful associate. Computer still says “containment hold”, only Tesla HQ can lift it

My truck is sitting at the delivery center. Messaged on the app this morning and was told there is no update. I have no delivery date.

There have been a few reports of users getting new, in the next few days, delivery slots. Not a lot, but more than 1 or 2.
I have a delivery appt scheduled for 4/20 but was told it will likely get pushed out to 4/22 at least

hmmm..... common nonsense.
Mark my words. The people receiving VINs today will have their trucks before we do. Those trucks have been inspected and fixed and are en route. There is a containment hold on trucks at service centers, with no real ETA. My SA says two weeks MINIMUM, so May.

Again, they cannot deliver new CTs unless they clear their existing backlog first or they physically remove the affected vehicles from delivery centers and replace them with new VIN CTs.

While I tend to hope that the order you suggest is correct, why would it not be possible that the ones in the factory lots get remedied first, then shipped. All before the parts get to the Service Center and retrofitted? The hod then gets lifted on any remediated vehicle.

They could very well be but my point is: most of the delivery centers already have a backlog of trucks to get through which are physically on their property…. therefore they cannot receive new VIN CTs with the fix unless they have the space to accommodate those deliveries.
