Using FSD and navigating to my home, Tesla repeatedly misses the exit from interstate 95 onto Copens Road East in Broward County Florida. It’s a big road, on all the maps. A lot of traffic uses it.

Anyone know how to go about resolving this?

Tesla is on track to be fully autonomous in June for Robo taxi, Ha! If you believe that I’ve got an EV truck with 500 mile range and a ramp built into the tail gate for only $49,900, just send me a $100 deposit.

1. Disengage FSD
2. Record voice memo once prompted by on-screen notification

Go to chill, dial down max speed to stay right, assuming you can't get positioned for the exit.

Any non influencer that has used FSD knows what its limitations are. It does keep improving though. Ready for unsupervised driving? Nope!

Thanks, but it misses this exit on chill too. I only yesterday changed my FSD from Cill to Standard.

To me, it seems the navigation database is inaccurate at this location.

I decided not to use Chill anymore because of how it changed lanes. It would put me into the right hand lane when it was obvious the traffic in that lane was backing up and at a significantly slower speed than the middle lane or the speed limit.

I agree. But I think , FSD is the most substantial improvement to automotive safety in the last 40 years. So much so, I think it should be in all new cars, not just Teslas. Safety policy should get behind it more fully to speed further development and deployment.

However, I am making the above statement with the disclaimer, that I’m aware I’m not always right.

I agree completely. All I was saying is that it isn’t ready for unsupervised driving - at least not where I have driven. I look forward to continued improvement as it is already very helpful.

Disengage AP and record the same message every time it happens. Something like “FSD is not taking the correct exit for this route.”

I had the same thing happen for an exit that was added a year ago. After 2 FSD updates the problem was resolved. Consistent reporting does seem to fix these issues.

When driving to pick up my 92 year old mom to drop her off for her day at Jacks Casino downtown Cleveland Big Red would lead me to believe it was going to fly by her exit and I would have to take control. This repeatedly happened. We were going so fast I was worried it would want to try to make the exit and put us over the side of the road with a 35-40 foot downhill slope. Well I did report the incident several times. However after the third time I didn't because the highway and exit area was under construction. But then Big Red should have taken that into consideration and slowed down for the exit instead of what I thought was too fast for the exit to be made. So I haven't tried FSD since the construction was finished because my brother has been picking her up lately. Perhaps I'll test it tonight when we visit her.....I'll take Big Red instead of the MY. MY doesn't have FSD. Mom loves the casinos but won't drive downtown on Wednesday....she only drives to Northfield on Fridays.

Nav path was to go on the exit. No tolls. I took control because I didn't want to miss the exit and I didn't want the computer try to make the exit at the rate of speed we were traveling. With the area under construction it was puzzling to see FSD traveling so fast. I am not a speed demon and actually drive quite slow compared to most drivers around town. Besides at 70 I am not in a hurry to get anywhere fast. I purchased Big Red for the FSD for our trips up north to Ontario because I didn't want to have to rely on myself as I get older. Our trip is 525 miles to our cottage. I love the CT and FSD on our trips and it rides better than any ICE truck I have ever owned.

If FSD isn't merging over and signaling in time, then manually engage the signal and see if it will accept your input and do the correct thing. If it doesn't, then take over and make a note.

What some people don't really understand is that we are the ones who are training and perfecting FSD. It's not a finished product, and it never will be (but will eventually be close to perfect).

in my opinion, FSD is near perfect, but it makes a lot of non-safety related mistakes such as turning into wrong business, exit wrong way, missing some turns. mostly all mapping problems at this point.

FSD to Mom's place. okay...so I navigated to mom's assisted living last evening. Still daylight in a light rain snow mix. I engaged the FSD shortly after we left the house. it is 14 miles to her place. As we approached the exit ramp Big Red was still two lanes away from the exit. I didn't do anything because I wanted to see what FSD would do. I checked for traffic and we were clear. About 1000 yards from the ramp the right blinker came on to move toward the exit lane but we didn't move. Blinker continued but no lane change. WE were getting nearer to the exit still blinker on no movement to the right. Still I waited. Finally the speed diminished and about 50 yards from the exit we moved over two lanes into the exit all at once. I would never make a move like that. across two lanes to exit. That is what some reckless dummies do at 70 miles an hour. So I will continue to use FSD but I will not allow it to make poor decisions like this and I will report it. I know that I can put the blinker on and it will mover over a lane but I have done that and sometimes FSD refuses to do the lane change. Like a stubborn baby. I will be headed there again today and will see how it goes.
