Once you line up the 2 parts of the wheel cover to the notces to the tire, you don't have to separate the two pieces anymore. Its aligned permanently unless you take the two parts apart again, and again not hard. Don't let those idiots at Tesla delivery or Youtube make it look hard.

Picked up my Beast last Tuesday 9/10/24 and it had Core wheels and covers. Excellent fit / finish.

I picked up my CT last week, Core wheels, and it came with the wheel covers. I took pics with the covers on and with the covers off and sent them out to friends. All picked the pics WITHOUT the wheel covers. I did have the small round cover for the center of the wheel.

So, I took off the wheel covers and put the center covers on. The original covers are on the shelf.

So, if I pick up mine on Friday, it will have wheel covers?

It's early enough that it would be location dependent. If it doesn't have them, you will be waiting like the rest of us. Probably better than 50% chance it has them, just don't be too surprised if it doesn't.

I see equipping all new builds with wheel covers first as the most efficient way to do it. They have already made me wait 5 months, I don't see 2-3 more weeks as a problem. It reduces the number of customers that have to deal with it. The fewer buyers they cause to have to self-install them or make a special trip to a service center to have them installed, the better. This allows the maximum number of customers to not "see" this issue.

I know you will disagree with this, just know that the customer ends up paying for all inefficiencies one way or another.

I 100% agree with you jameskk
