I’m with you. It is comical that we may receive FSD before the wheel covers.
I hope I do get FSD before the wheel covers. I want both, but I would rather have FSD.

Although, I’ve heard about Tesla being notorious for these type of things. It’s interesting to be on the receiving end. It begs the question, why is it accepted? I’m reminded of something I read in the book, ‘The 48 Laws of Power’, regarding people accepting things they would not normally. I believe it was one of the chapters referring to a cult following. It’s a great book if anyone is looking for a good eye opening read.
I might be able to help you understand why people put up with things like this. It has nothing to do with Tesla being a cult, it's just practicality in action.

If there is something amazing, and you want it, like a Cybertruck, but you can only get it now without two things (that you also want), like wheel covers and FSD, then you have a choice:

1) Wait for it to be available with everything you want.

2) Accept it now, with the understanding you will get the two accessories at an indeterminate time in the future.

I chose #2, and it had nothing to do with a cult, it had to do with exploring all my available options and choosing the most appealing one. I mean, I can't produce my own Cybertruck, not even just the wheel covers or FSD. I could have bought a Ford Lightning but then I would just have a Ford Lightning, and it doesn't come with wheel covers or FSD either. As it stands, I've had 5 outstanding months exploring all difficult to access areas in the local mountains in a much more amazing vehicle. If I had refused to accept this kind of behavior, I would have nothing (or a Ford Lightning), LOL!

None of this should confuse you.

What I find hilarious is, one year ago, half the people were saying the wheel covers are hideous and undesirable. Now, many of the same people are saying Tesla is bad, and the buyers are stupid, for accepting delivery without them. :ROFLMAO:

The same thing can be said about FSD, a year ago it was a dangerous experiment that doesn't work and isn't safe, now that it's not provided with Cybertruck many of the same people are asking why would anyone accept delivery without access to FSD every month you own it? :ROFLMAO:

See how that works? Some people are just desperate to throw shade on the Cybertruck and Tesla any way they think they can, the truth doesn't matter to them. But I can assure you that people who go out and get what they want, even if it doesn't come with everything they want upfront, are acting in a perfectly rational manner to get as much of what they want, as soon as they can get it.

There seems to be a simple solution here, for those of us who took delivery without wheel covers in the past several months we can just drive down to our local Tesla center and when a new one comes off the truck we take the wheel covers off and put them on our car and let the new owner start the wheel cover waiting process all over again. :) Seems like a reasonable thing to do... I also suggest wearing masks that make you look like Elon while doing this...
Technically the tire on the ones they take off should be properly aligned and the wheel covers could then just be shipped directly to the customers for install saving a service center visit and associated time. I would be willing to $wager$ that due to my CT not coming with the aero covers installed that the tire is not aligned on the rim to accept them properly, hence the visit to the service center once they do arrive.

There is no need to align the tires on the rim in any particular orientation in order to align the wheel cover "spokes" with the recessed areas of the tire's sidewall. The wheel covers are two pieces and can rotate to any installation position.

Just came across this. Fit and finish look good and I always liked these covers in the concept vehicle and early deliveries. Don't see an opening for tire pressure service though? Anyone know if they are shipping now?

My CT CB with the all season 20" Core Wheels with 35" Tires (not the off road version) included the new wheel covers as shown in your photo above. Value covers are accessible since they position each cover to apparently allow you to check/fill tires. It might require an extension or a flexible hose to do it, but I am not sure yet as I have not tried it.

Update: I am not able to access the valve stem without removing the Aero covers, which I am about to do right now. I also received my new tread gauge and will post the tread depth of the all season tires after about 600 miles (two days after receiving).

Hopefully they start getting them to use old owners soon then.

I mean, I can see how people think first owners should get them first, BUT you can't expect Tesla to keep making their situation worse by not installing them on new builds going out only to have to pay for process and shipping, making their issue worse, and potentially have to touch a vehicle a 2nd time for just that.

I agree with what you are saying here, but the issue is that Tesla is now delivering wheel covers to new buyers while original buyers are still waiting for months after they promised we were in the queue. It's like going to Burger King and ordering a Whopper and they say, we got to cook it for you so your number is 5. Then you sit for hours while they give out Whoppers to new customers who walk in and order. You then ask, hey where's my Whopper and they tell you it's coming (or they ignore you). Meanwhile new Whoppers going to new customers. MMMM, now I want some BK. ?

I don't see why they couldn't start shipping them in the beds of each truck being transported to the delivery centers and they rapidly do both. They seem to only be focused on handing them out to new customers right now. I base this information on everything we know, plus what I've been told by 2 different service centers.

Agreed, I am sorry to all the Tesla a@#$ss lickers, I got my cyberbeast in May, and it is insulting, that the ones that paid first, are waiting while the new owners are getting the damn covers. I'm happy for the lucky ones that are getting it, but I'm livid with Tesla for doing this.
I've been pretty vocal with my frustrations over Tesla-- as a long-term legacy owner. But I watched a video last night of recent drone footage over Giga Texas. From everything I could see and hear from the narration (from a guy seemingly familiar with every pipe and dumpster at the plan), Tesla is working their a$$ off to produce these Cybertrucks as fast as they possibly can-- to the point that there are storing castings anywhere and everywhere they can at the factory (which-- as an aside-- is constantly being expanded to allow for more production).
