Good afternoon. I stopped by the Tesla Store in Richmond today and asked about delivery timelines. The gentleman that I spoke to there told me that they are tentatively scheduled to get between 10-12 VINs before the end of the quarter (Mar 31). He let me know that they'd have some more clarity on that within the next 10 days or so with regards to more specifics, but that was the plan. I ordered on 1/13/24, and expect that I'd likely fall into that first 10-12 at the Richmond (Glen Allen) delivery center. He expressed that they are going to try to deliver as many as absolutely possible over the next month, as is the habit for Tesla for those of us that have gotten a new Tesla before.

Great information for us here in VA, hopefully there will be the push for other states on the East side as well.

I think that you may be reading a lot more into the statements than there is.
First, I'm guessing that by end of March, you are suggesting end of quarter deliveries. Yes, Tesla does make a push for them. But No, Cybertruck won't be in that push. There are simply limitations on how many they can get out of the factory at this point and even if doubled, wouldn't be a blip on the quarterly deliveries.

I hope that you get that luck with a 1/13 order, there are still a lot of December orders in front of you.

Appreciate the sentiment, but we were speaking specifically about the cybertruck, and he explicitly said that the Cybertruck would also be in that push. Understand the limitations, which is why there are only 10 planned and not 100.

Did not get detail about the build AWD / Cyberbeast.
Don't know that they know that yet either.

Thanks for the update! I work 1 block away from that store and ordered 1/9, so I'm thrilled to hear that update!

Did you get an email yesterday about being matched with an installer for Powershare? I know that many went out yesterday (including mine).

I did not. the last email I got was on Feb 2nd and stated that they'd match me with an installer after VIN was assigned. Do you have a VIN now and just don't know ?!?!?! :)

Interesting

I definitely don’t have a VIN in the app, but that was the discussion we were having last night. Is there a shadow VIN assigned that will be revealed once it’s at the store? Is it just that they sent a batch of emails based on order date? Who knows…

What you are seeing is two division of a company barely talking to each other.

10-12 just for the Richmond store or the entire Virginia across different stores?

Just Richmond, I’d guess Vienna / Norfolk will have its own allocation
That would be great! I know about ten people waiting for their CTs from Vienna store. Everyone had an estimated delivery between January and March and most of them ordered in December, including myself.

you are like a grumpy old man telling the kids to get off his lawn lol

you, nor us know what is part of the Q1 push and regardless they are going to try to deliver as many as they can especially in the first quarter of a new vehicle. so just wait till Q1 numbers are released to see how it goes :p also, doubling from 2000 trucks a month to 4000 would definatly be more then just a blip, but i agree, i doubt they will double that number.

I'm talking about PowerShare installers vs VINs.

Seems you may have missed part of the conversation
