My husband took delivery of CT while I was out of town. Got back and gave that huge windshield a great cleaning with Windshield Wow (thanks to previous poster). It was filthy. Anyway that’s when I saw a small chip in the glass right in the drivers line of sight (I say small because the windshield is huge) but I felt around on the outside and it had to have been a pebble flying at high speed on a train because you can feel the depth of the glass puncture (maybe not right word). Should that be acceptable? The guy who was going to do ceramic coating said it may get worse when he does it and to consider taking it to Tesla to fix. That sounds like it would be a long shot. Thoughts?

I would suggest driving to the service center but I am not hopeful you will get a replacement…

The truck is so insulating from the outside I am not sure I would notice a rock strike.

fingers crossed that you can get it resolved…

The only issue that you may face is being able to prove that it wasn't created on the way home.
But indeed, put in a Service Request and see what they say.

I'm not sure that I'd go with the train argument, think of how the trucks are stacked on the train and on what the train rides. They don't run on rocks and for a rock to hit the windshield, it would have to come down.

I just looked and I can't see any pictures of a Cybertruck on a train, which suggest that they be shipped in protected cars like below. And it's much harder for a rock to get in.
The transport truck to/from the railyard would be a higher probability.

It also can be the rock hit while on the truck to the final destination.

Best of luck!

Is Windshield Wow worth the price?
I'm wondering the same thing. I had to google Windshield Wow to see what it even is. It looks like a great concept and definitely want to learn more. Also, @Laurab1972 , is the extension arm that comes with the Windshield Wow pro kit large enough to clean the gigantic Cybertruck windshield. It looks to only extend 20" max.

The concept is great but you’re right the arm could be longer. It still gets a lot done but I need a small stepladder. No joke and I cannot imagine doing it frequently. Took me 30 minutes in my 105 degree Florida I air conditioned garage. I’m going to consider a ceramic coating.

I put in a service request and there are none available before August ??ā€ā™€ I cannot imagine what it would cost me to pay for that glass windshield out of pocket. I guess I can just try and take a picture with date on my phone and picture of the mileage. Lord.

How long have you lived in Florida?
You are aware that windshield replacement is free in FL?

FYI, at Pensacola SC, the glass guy comes on Wednesdays.
That’s actually super helpful because I decided I’m gonna drive by there today. On my way to go meet with the guy that’s going to do the PPF

It worked well but it took forever and to be honest the glass is still not totally clear/clean. Is maddening ?
I've used this method to clean windshields on two of my cars and my van.... I haven't gathered the courage to do the Cybertruck yet! Waiting for the heat to break. This method will require ordering product but it really works!
