I was reading a news article today that says NTHSA will now mention a software update and not just a Tesla Recall! Although, I haven’t personally seen this yet…which is good! ?

FYI: Here is the actual Safety Recall Report 573 for the Cybertruck Cant rail. Also, for information, how to tell your mfg. year from the vin.

That said, I have my CT Vinyl wrapped. I know that Mercedes would cover any cosmetic repair should you have to replace an entire exterior fender - lets say for example. Car insurance paid repairs would and do cover after market cosmetics.

To determine the approximate production date of a Tesla Cybertruck, you can use the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), specifically the 10th digit, which indicates the model year.

Here's a breakdown:
  • VIN Structure: The 10th digit of the VIN represents the model year.

  • Model Year Codes:
    • 2024: "R"

    • 2023: "P"
      2022: "N"
      2021: "M"
      2020: "L"
      2019: "K"
      And so on

Production Sequence: Digits 12-17 of the VIN represent the production sequence number, starting at 000001.

Production Sequence Reset: The production sequence number does not reset with each new model year.

Finding Build Date: While the VIN gives you the model year, you can check the vehicle certification label on the driver's side door pillar for the exact build date.

VIN Decoders: You can also use online VIN decoders like Stat.vin to get more details about your Cybertruck.
