Normal for GM and Acura. Even multi-day issues under warranty I did not get a loaner from a big GM dealer. But they did give me a ride home.

We get loaners for service. We’ve been really clear we live 80 miles away and work full time.
They let us drop off the truck the night before then come back the following evening to pick it back up.

Just had my recalls and some minor cosmetic issues buffed from my May delivery and was provided a loaner - but I live an hour away and they estimated it would take more than a day. It ended up being completed in less than a day. Very happy with the service.

Estimated time is just a few hours and you want and or expect a loaner car?

Read a book, watch stuff on phone, work while waiting - that is all normal.

I could see that for service if done the same day, but if multi-day or overnight that isn't good. My BMW warranty service on an X5 50E (battery valve recall) took a few days, but they did give me a brand new X5 for a loaner at least. Would hopefully expect Tesla if 2+ days to provide an S/X/even CT in time of choice.

Welcome to Tesla, LOL. But they can provide you with some great Uber Bucks if you ask. I usually just waited or walked down to local deli.

Both recalls took less than 2 hours to complete. Not worth the hassle of Uber or loaner. They had plenty of office space available for me to do my regular work.

I was just down in Fife doing service for the same exact thing. No loaner as well. But they did offer me a test drive in any other vehicle to pass the time. Also the lounge was pretty nice. I ended up going shopping and came back when the truck was done.

There's no consistency with Tesla. I was told the 'official' policy, at least for North Texas, was if the vehicle is in for warranty work, then a loaner or Uber credits must be provided. If it's off-warranty, then nothing is assumed. This has been my experience with the last 4 visits to the Fort Worth SC(all with the CT, lol), had a choice of loaner each time, but that was in the early days of CT, they might be less generous these days. Still waiting on the wiper/sail recall work, I'm in no rush.

The policy is different at each SC. Many in California have told people they no longer provide loaners at all.

Yeah, it's annoying. What makes it worse is that the actual loaner process is pretty slick (when it works), still blows my mind that the last song playing in my car starts in the loaner when I get in it, and of course it's all keyless. Don't know why Tesla would put so much effort into the software side, only to not have the hardware, or a consistent policy.

That is a really awesome aspect of Tesla. I dropped off my CT to take my MS out and the book started playing right where left off.

I was told for my SC visit there were no loaners available for a 3 hour expectation. I said I want to go get breakfast with my wife as there is nothing in walking distance and we had had a long (early morning) drive. they suggested I have a "Demo" drive that give upto 2 hours..... perfect, so I tried out a Model X. FSD was amazing, ate breakfast.... drove around a little experimenting.... got back with 2 hours.... CT was ready to go. Great experience and very happy :)

This is the way, haha!!

I was offered a demo drive as well, but they said they'd be done in less than an hour, so I declined.
