I just read today where someone else had the same issue, I have 1 day on this truck, phone connects but I can't hear anyone, and they can't hear me. I also found that if you press the voice command button it beeps, but can't hear me talk or say anything. Anyone got a fix?

Same issue with my truck - put in a ticket May 4th - dropped off almost 2 weeks ago - Zero communication - and still not fixed. I'm getting frustrated - did yours get fixed?

Any understanding of the issue? I'm about to go crazy. Thanks!!

Ah very cool - thank you... Sounds the same with my truck - they tore the seat apart (apparently the mic is in the seat) they said they needed to order a part - but it was working when I went for pickup - returning on the 27th for the insall. ..

All good!

I love the truck!

I was able to fix this by removing all my BT devices from the truck and the device. Then reconnecting them. Now my calls are going to the truck with no issues. I don't think this was a CT-only issue. My model 3 was doing the same nonsense: connecting but then failing to take commands, connect audio/mic, etc.

This doesn't sound like the same issue you're having though if they're replacing your mic. Just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone else reading along.

I think an update must have done something?

I think this one was more hardware-related. The CT's microphone (or one of them) is inside the headrest. So when you pushed the button on the wheel - no sound. I could connect over BT to my phones - but if anyone called - I could hear them - they couldn't hear me. Service thinks the seats were pinching the cable inside. The had my seat all disassembled when I checked in on it - but it seems to have fixed itself on reassembly. They did try to diagnosis it remotely - but they couldn't get it to work :(

Do you have tint on your windshield?

The people who do this stuff often don't know what they are doing and will break stuff when taking it apart/putting it back together. They often remove the pod by the rear view mirror and that's probably where the microphone is.

The microphone is actually in the seat back headrest. They pulled mine apart and it fixed itself - but they already ordered the part so they said to come back and have it replaced just to be sure. Sure enough - the appointment just got pushed to September due to parts availability.

I have the same issue - from the moment I picked up the truck. Phone calls connect fine, but I can't hear anything and they can't hear me; have to switch to phone speaker. BT plays music fine through the speakers, and my calls show up on the screen. Microphone for Voice Commands doesn't pick up any voice either. The only odd thing..... every now and then, a call will work normally. Then when I make another call in succession, back to not working. I'll ask them about the shorted mic.

Also.... I'm guessing Tesla doesn't provide loaner cars, correct? Not sure what I'm going to do for transportation while the truck is in service in 2 weeks. Any leads on that? Sorry, first Tesla so not sure the protocol, but I never got an option to request a loaner when making the appointment. Thanks!

The connection for that microphone is inside the seat itself. So they need to disassemble the seat and replace the microphone and part of the wiring assembly. They usually can't get the part quickly - but if they can, it is a two-hour job. They gave me a model Y as a loaner - no truck loaners yet. Sounds identical to my issue - but on the first repair attempt - it fixed itself. I still have an appointment on the 2nd to get the new harness installed - They told me to just have it done since the part was already on order. No issues there.

Outstanding. Thank you for the quick information. Hoping that they are ready for this issue here in the DEN area. I'm going to message them now with this update.
