I finally figured out how to successfully mount the Openroad 270° Awning on the Mars Full Expedition Rack w/ the Mars wind deflector.
I ordered extra M8 50mm T-Slot bolts & nuts from Mars Adventure Gear, flipped the racks to where the three T-slots face up, and used 2 bolts per mount in the middle slot.
I needed 2 spacers per mount so it would install correctly and used some huge bolts from Home Depot (6 total) that lifted the mounts 1/2”, which was just the perfect amount of space.
I’m not sure how to make this work with a rooftop tent when I purchase one. If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear them! ?
