Just received my order confirmation today (May 29, 2024 at 8:00p EDT)
original order date: 5-8-20
Residence at time of order: Denver, CO
Reservation # RN113414431

It’s confirmed for the Foundation edition. Comes with a lot of goodies, however, goodies that I don’t want, and I feel like I’m being forced to pay for. Anybody having experience with passing on their order and waiting until a non-foundation unit is available available for the trim model?

the only feature I would want is the PowerShare. Which is a fraction of the foundation series upgrade of $20k.

According to order data I saw on this forum earlier today, it looks like they are delivering tactical grey in July and then September on.

I was invited to configure my order on January second of this year, and the invite remains open, teasing me with a truck that's out of my price range.

As new items have appeared, so they have appeared on my configuration page.

So yes, you can just wait.

Just got invitation to order today, 2024 May 29. Placed my reservation 2020 January 5.

A lot of things are discouraging me from pulling the trigger: much higher price, much lower range for trimotor, small frunk without HVAC or even power outlets, front seats do not lay flat for sleeping. I like that it has four wheel steering, but was hoping for Brembo’s Sensify brake by wire system that Connecting the Dots described in a tantalizing video (). Sub three second 0–60 was already crazy fast, so the new quicker Cyberbeast is not better me. It’s hard to tell whether reports of defects and breakdowns represent a significant portion of all trucks, but they sure are discouraging for a vehicle that’s this expensive.

All of these concerns had me hoping that my invitation might come in a couple years, after those issues were ironed out. I may sit on my reservation, hoping for Cybertruck 2.0 because Cybertruck 0.9 is just not that interesting to me.

Dual motor and cyberbeast were the choices. Both with the foundation package. Interior color, tire/wheel choice, range extender, etc.
