Original tire replacement for Foundation Series Cybertruck recommendations?

You can get the same tire at discount tire and use there warranty program if you think Tesla supplied tires are shaved.

I believe they are not quite the same tires as the Tesla ones are slightly better for our trucks in terms of noise/efficiency.

One more question for everyone: does the truck just learn over time that your driving is getting more efficient (or less efficient) so if I get more efficient tires instead of 100% charge showing as 300 miles it might show as 320 (or whatever it really is)?

The range number displayed near the top left of the center screen when parked or driving is a pure EPA range calculation based on how many kWh the system thinks is left in the battery. It will not change for hills, tailwinds or anything other than a recalculation of how much energy is left in the battery.

IMO, this is the proper way to display range because it remains consistent from day to day and from route to route, even if you load your Cybertruck up with non-optimal aerodynamic accessories. It is not intended to be an accurate estimation of how much range is left under varying conditions, vehicle configurations, or driving styles, it's intended to tell the driver how far they can go under a standardized set of conditions. Climbing a mountain pass or removing the tire fairings won't cause it to display meaningless numbers.

If you want more nuanced range numbers you can use the Trip Efficiency App included on every Tesla. It's a very useful tool for those who want to arrive at Superchargers with the minimum amount of range for a quick top off (or for those who simply want to geek out on what helps or hurts efficiency).

Are you sure you're right? If I buy a new Cyberbeast with the core wheels and pirelli tires it shows range of 320 at 100% but if I order the all terrains it shows 301 at 100%. Am I crazy?

You're not crazy, the models with different tires have different EPA efficiencies. The range numbers are all based on EPA efficiency numbers of the various model configurations. If it knows what tires you have put on, it might adjust the range but most potential tires are not in the Cybertruck's EPA range database so it can only adjust for the available OEM options (and you might have to tell it what you put on there).

The range number is cold, hard calculation based on what the model you have SHOULD get under EPA test conditions. Fortunately, there is no attempt to adjust the number based on observed results.
