Has Tesla announced any timeframe to resolve this issue. I have gone through everything with Tesla support and still have the problem. It is getting very annoying. Thanks.

I have never had this issue with my phones (Samsung S2X line). What phone are you using?

The general advice to repair:
  1. Delete Phone Key parings in vehicle
  2. Delete the Tesla app
  3. Re-download the Tesla app
  4. Re-pair your phone as a key

Secondly I found someone reporting a similar issue on Reddit with a solution, but this might be connection to the media and not the key.

Hi all,
I've seen the numerous posts about phones disconnecting from their Tesla constantly. This was bugging me for the past 12 months... I tried everything -- disconnecting my iPhone, deleting and reinstalling the Tesla app, and reconnecting my Tesla key to the card. NONE OF THEM WORKED.
I brought this up at my recent Tesla appoint and they suggested turning off the auto sync for contacts (under the phone settings). Voila!
All fixed and now zero issues between the phone and car connection... figured I should share with the community. Good luck!

I was running into the same issues as you. I tried mutliple phones, disconnecting they phone key, reconnecting,.... many, many times. The issue was intermittant at first but eventually I was only able to open and run the truck with the keycard. I ended up adding it to other issues and scheduled a service visit. Service noted on the invoice they replaced the "Body Controller", "Left Hand Controller", and the " Retstraint Controller". It's worked great since getting it back from service.
