Hey!

I've had my 'Beast for about 5 weeks (5000 miles!!) now and absolutely love it! I am definitely using it as a truck and have had tons of things in the bed, towed, etc with it.

A few days ago, my phone key stopped working. Up until then, other than having to turn my Bluetooth on and off occasionally, it worked perfectly. Then...not so much!

The phone no longer unlocks or 'starts' my truck. The Bluetooth connection, however works great. If I stream music, it is solid and does not disconnect, etc. Inside the app, the phone key will cycle through 'disconnected' to 'connecting' to 'connected' for a second, then it cycles again . Over and over.

I (Samsung S22 ultra) have deleted the data from the app, uninstalled the app on my phone, deleted the phone key in the truck and reinstalled it and it does not make a difference. The truck will see the phone and add it as a key, then immediately start cycling again ....

Weirdly, my son's Pixel will work even when mine doesn't.

Bluetooth is working fine on my phone, and I use NFC payments, so I know that's working as well...

Any ideas?

Sounds like you need a pixel or iPhone upgrade. They way you describe it points to a phone issue. Try adding another phone wife, husband, friends etc as the key and see if it improves. I’ll let you add mine just need your address so I know where to snatch the truck while you’re sleeping. Just picking, or am I ?

Best of luck to you.

Make sure your Tesla on your phone is set to connection preference. I have an Android too. Also if you have another Tesla you own parked nearby it could be trying to connect to both.

Finally fixed! If anyone else has this problem with an Android, try 'resetting network connections '. I had to reenter hotspot, wifi, and Bluetooth connections, but it's working every time now.

Thanks!

I was about to suggest that but wasn’t sure if Android has this network reset option. iPhone has it and I do it from time to time when having issues with wifi networks or 5G connectivity.

Do the same thing what OP did! Network hardware sometimes need complete reset.
