1. 87" D x 54" W x 40" H 2 person pop up tent $52
2 furing strip and 2×2 $15
3 1"×12"×8' board $140 (i used my old demolished shelves board, so it is free)
4 velcro $15
5 2 1/2" screws $10
Total:$232 ($92 for me)
You can use 2×4 and 2" thick board to build more weight capacity platform.
I am pretty happy for this setup, all boards can be stack up to the end just like the cybertent does or cover the whole bed to use some more space on top of it.
It takes about 2 minutes each for setting up and taking down the platform and tent.
One question: for 7 hour sleeping in the tent with tent mode on, sentry off and small dehumidifier ( 30w) running all the time, the battery consumption is 4%, was it too high for such minimum energy usage?
