It like great. I'd like to know how long it lasts before chipping or peeling. It's crazy that you did it in half the time of a professional installer. What is the warranty on these kits? If you have to redo a panel can you buy just a single replacement panel piece or do you have to buy a whole kit?

I am not sure about replacement. Iā€™ve emailed them to ask for a new hood and grill because I have a few mistakes that, although I could live with it, they do say itā€™s a 100% guarantee, so Iā€™m hoping they will send those at no charge. After that Iā€™ll put PPF on the front for sure. I donā€™t expect long run theyā€™ll send me any freebies if I need repairs. Iā€™d expect the wrap to last 3-5 years if my install was any good. Time will tell :)

Thatā€™s a great question. It certainly keeps oneā€™s mind on it during sleep when youā€™re trying to complete a project like this!

Aside from sticking to the DIY instructions; I think a stick with it and see it through attitude kept me above any frustrations. Most of which were in day 1 anyway, so Iā€™m grateful for that. Day 3 today, I was thinking how much dinero I could make wrapping for a living. šŸ˜‚

It honestly became therapeutic at some levels. And the rear tailgate and top rails, TSportline doesnā€™t have any videos online that I could find. I was flying in the blind, but referring back to their instructions and applying it to those areas, it all worked out perfectly.

Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your project and thoughts with us. Donā€™t let us keep you any longerā€”go enjoy your truck!

Started my install yesterday on the DIY satin white wrap. So far, Iā€™m in for 10 hours of work. Iā€™ve got 50% done. Will see if I make better time tomorrow on the remainder. I got my CT last week on Tuesday. Feeling badly for all yaā€™ll waiting on yours in the midst of the ā€œdelayā€.

Iā€™ll post some more tomorrow or once itā€™s finished.

Cheers!

May be bad for the groom since the Cybertruck is a panty dropper! Lol!
You way advanced.

I simply called it a chick magnet. The way teenagers became giggly when I allowed them to take their selfies on my Cybertruck.

And then I noticed they surreptitiously photo-bomb me too.

I think thatā€™s what I dislike about getting one. Even at the end of the year, CTs will still be kind of rare. Iā€™m not one for attention. I really just like the truck. I guess Iā€™ll have to live with it or not drive it! Haha

Finally done. 15 hours start to finish. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼šŸ”„
I was flying the last 4 panels on the passenger. Really found some good technique I could settle into finally. šŸ˜

Good perspective on the 15 hours. I have a PPF satin DIY in the garage that I'm trying to decide if I do it myself or have my tint guy do it. They will charge me 150/hr and estimating 10-15 hours. And I have to prep it.

I'm a pretty handy guy, build cabinets,, million tools, always install all my after markets on whatever it is, did a lift on my Bronco. Would you recommend someone like myself (of what little you know), that doing yourself can yield a very nice job that would be hard to distinguish from a true professional? I kinda want to do it, not so much about saving 1500-2500, but it seems like a fun 1-2 beer per piece Saturday/Sunday with a buddy.

Iā€™d go for it!

I had TSportline send me another piece for the hood, it was my first and I had a few spots that bothered me. I also ordered the matte PPF protection for the hood and grill. They were easier to install than the vinyl.

Iā€™ve been enjoying mine for a month now and am as satisfied to think itā€™s as good as if I had a pro do it.

Iā€™d just keep the beers to a minimum. I actually didnā€™t allow myself to imbibe while I did it, for fear of getting sloppy. :)
