I am literally getting my power share installed right now, I spent most of the day Monday and Tuesday helping the electrician do it, they finish on Friday.
Just an update and data point if anyone is expecting to get this installed in the future. My install is officially done as of today. Tesla said it would be another 2 weeks before they activate PowerShare on the unit. I guess they do validation work remotely.

A major delay on my install was weak wifi to where the unit is located. Make sure you have a strong 2.4ghz non-mesh WiFi singnal to where you power meter is on the outside of your house... or ethernet . The unit has mobile internet, but it will not download required updates over it.

My quote was just under $4k, but would have been much cheaper without this, they need to run new charging wires with the communication wire, and can't use my existing run to my WallCharger.
Exact same situ for me!

if you have an existing 6 gauge wire on a dedicated 60amp breaker then all they need to do is run the new communication wire conduit.

no new electrical wire needed unless it’s not to code
