Guess I need to call, ordered my solar/batteries over a year ago and was told I would be notified.

Now in the news glad I haven’t been included in the process.

Damn!

If they took the effort to change "later in 2025" to "coming soon" that indicates it won't be this year.

They have done this twice before, just changing the language on their website with no updates info.

I'm sick of their promises for last two years on this key feature.

They have made many unmet promises that were eventually completely abandoned. Most important to me was the announced CT range extender, as I tow a 10k boat. Earlier this year they officially announced that it will never be produced. All CTs prior to the announcement were then granted 12 months of free FSD, effectively screwing Foundation purchasers who had paid for that in the purchase price. I’m not aware of any lawsuits about this issue, but there have been successful suits and settlements on other issues such as FSD and range claims in Europe. Tesla and Elon frequently disregard the old saw - under promise and over deliver. The chickens would likely come home to roost on the bidirectional charging software issue if never delivered, but Tesla has become masterful at delay and defer tactics, such as on the original FSD scope and timeframe. Many owners who bought prepaid FSD in 2018 and 2019 long since abandoned any claim to value recovery on that commitment, selling, trading or upgrading their cars before seeing functional delivery.

The extend some go to to invent reasons is mind boggling and life must be unbearable believing fake news articles. Good luck.

This is a first for me - my app showed 'connecting to powerwall' for a short bit while doing a software update. It is gone now but I caught a screen shot. Really strange as I was not connected to the house at the time, just parked in the driveway.....

That's interesting. What app version are you on?

I downloaded Netzero app this weekend in order to track Powerwall 3 updates. There was an obvious lull in updates after March of this year, but there has been a big uptick since October. Comments on the last 2 firmware updates indicate they are actively working out some bugs in Powershare with the CT.

Interesting. I haven't gotten the weather update on my app yet. I'll try and see if it shows something similar when I get home and plug in.

If nothing else, the app update is aesthetically pleasing.

Interesting! I've been using Netzero for a couple of years and never noticed it showing Powerwall release notes. I just see the date of when a Powerwall firmware update was installed (and the firmware version number).

The fact that you saw release notes/comments that they're fixing bugs for Powershare with CT is huge...again, assuming it's for Powerwall > CT (not via the Powershare gateway device).

So Netzero doesn't show release notes specifically. There is a good thread on Github where users decompile the updates and also provde feedback and what was found or what they are experiencing after the latest updates. There are also FB threads and Reddit threads that specifically discuss the PW3 updates. Seems Tesla doesn't always provide release notes, especially if they are incremental updates.

In my case, as isolated as it may be, bi-directional charging would be the ONLY reason she would let go of her beloved blue Y, Sapphire.
the new MYP has V2L which is halfway there for a DIY V2H setup...and who knows, maybe they'll decide to let it do V2H in the future...
