I work for a GC and we have several electricians working for us.

I’d rather just have them do the Powershare Gateway. I already have a universal charger installed.

I’m now in possession of my truck and would like to I stall the Powershare Gateway through my company. Any way to get the rest of the equipment I need?

I did talk to the install company Tesla recommended and I would not want to use them in my house.

Has to be done by a Tesla approved installer.

Don't know. I'm not a lawyer. Just posting the information provided by Tesla.

doesn’t that violate some states laws regarding electrical contracting?
Why?

If a piece of equipment is installed by a non-authorized installer, that sounds dangerous.

Generally, manufacturers can't limit their exposure to risk this way, although in practice, they do. When push comes to shove, legally they have to prove the installation was faulty or dangerous it avoid warrantee liability.

But in practice, yeah, they do limit who they sell stuff through or with, which leads to monopolies which tend to overcharge.
