You mean 'state' of the Gateway, not geographical state? (I know Tesla sometimes sends updates to vehicles based on geographical location).
Yes the state of the gateway. Guess they got enough complaints and errors to halt the full roll out across the country.

Sorry to be a pain, but with 'across the country' you imply the geographical state the Gateway is in? Or the technical status of the Gateway?

The status of the gateway will keep any new firmware from updating successfully.

The bad firmware version probably only made it to a few geographical states.

Got it. I might reconnect the comm cable and take the risk.

Would the comm cable disconnect have kept your unit from updating its firmware anyway? My understanding is that cable talks to the wall charger. My gateway is still connected to the internet to get the pending firmware update.

Last night I tried simply switching off the WC breaker in the Gateway, but that resulted in:
  • disabling PowerShare
  • disabling charging
  • disabling WiFi for the WC and Gateway (!!?!)

so I couldn't get a FW update anyway. I switched it back on ?‍♂

I've not heard anything from my installer or Tesla about this, so for the moment I'm not gonna worry about it.

What version is your gateway on?

anyone else get the crazy pounding on the wall with the bad update? House was shaking and lights were flickering. Wonder if it’s related to any specific configurations like solar which we have.

Don't know the answer to that, but if I read this thread correctly, that is what the installers are disconnecting to prevent the issue.

On a side topic, I approved my quote from Qmerit and I ordered my power share gate way and universal charger. I recieved the universal charger but the Powershare gateway still does not have a tracking number. It’s will be 6 days on Wednesday since I ordered everything. How long did it take everyone else to receive the gateway?
I ordered mine Aug 28. It took ~8 days to get my wall connector and 14 to get the gateway

I had mine installed last week. Last night I lost connection to my truck and this morning was unable to unplug my truck. I switched the Gateway power off and back on and everything reset. It now shows Powershare in my Tesla app and I was able to unplug and replug in the power line to my CyberBeast.

Gateway Version shows 23.44.906-GW3V 4fd385fa
Wall Connector B7S24172J04833

Since my Gateway may not even be conditioned yet (and then PG&E needs to approve everything, which I am told will take months) I am not bi-directionally charging.

At this point I am able to connect and charge my truck, which is all I need now....

Do you have some sort of pump or fan that would cause this? Maybe a sump pump, AC unit or attic fan?

I ordered in July, and the gateway took longer to arrive (Late August). I suspect that will vary based on available inventory. Check the item listing in the store. Sometimes it will have a message saying "next shipments will occur on XX month".

They changed the program a few days before my installation (the installer supplied the equipment). I'm finally having everything installed next week.
