Design criteria is 1. a bed, 2. porta potty 3. minimal aerodynamic drag.
This design is simple: a topper and tailbox. Assumes CTs tailgate is removed.
The topper could be home built or purchased. The only thing special about the topper is a sliding door on the tail.
Access to the topper is thru the tailbox.
The 48" long aerodynamic tailbox has no front except below the vault floor. It is open to the topper. I may build this tailbox - unless I can buy it.
Sleeping is inside the warm HVAC topper. The potty is in the unheated tailbox.
The tailbox's curved top will hinge up to 76" with a small curtain allowing people taller than 5'6" a spot to stand up. It can also hold bikes. Door on one side and a ramp on the other.

Grindy tail?

-Crissa
Grind on ground crossing troughs etc ?
This CT's tail is 15-16" off the ground and 92" behind the rear axle.
My Promaster van's custom carrier grinds only occasionally and it is 10" off the ground and 72" behind the axle.
This photo features a ground line. The red "L" is the same as my van's tail.

I'm pretty sure you'd get stuck on my street in at least two places.

(Admittedly, so does the neighbor's trailer if he doesn't aim it right)

But good eye.

I mentioned the same on a previous design. At least with the CT you can always raise the suspension when you approach speed bumps if you know in advance.

You are also going to have to remove the tailgate to do this... plus add some lighting.

This is why Tesla needs to come out with a van built on the CT platform.
It should be available as a passenger or tradesman model.
I could live with a less aerodynamic cab forward design to have more room in the back.
I have camped in my little Nissan van but it is a tight fit.

Thinking about an amphibious camping box 8’x4’ with a pointy bow.

it has to fit in the back bed of my cybertruck with the tail gate open. It will be on wheels so can be push up the ramp of the cybertruck.

just enough room for a double bed and perhaps a galley box and porta loo.

I was thinking 8x4x4 out of 4 sheets of marine ply then a pointy bow and rear door opens above the waterline.

It can be powered by a very small electric outboard or even a power drill and propeller

just for a little fun on the canal and some overnighters on the waterways

There have been some amazing cabin in the woods type of designs that can fit in the back of a truck

This is a good aim. At the risk of distracting from the focus of this thread, here’s a modest aim: fill the vault with gear and hope the front seats move far enough forward to recline flat. CT provides lots of cushioned surface in the cab, which I don’t want to recreate in the vault. When I’m not camping next to the CT, where would camping and cycling gear be relocated from the vault? Outside…or piled atop those comfy seats in the cab? I hope a tent works most of the time.

Design criteria is 1. a bed, 2. porta potty 3. minimal aerodynamic drag.
You should be able to either sleep reclined in the front seats, stretched out across the back seat or sleep in the vault. A single sized air mattress would prob fit behind the front seats and the back of the rear seat. The military also has some great sleeping mats that do not require inflation.
You can insulate the floor of the vault with 1/2 inch foam mat. Since you can run the heat or AC insulation should not be a big consideration unless you are in extreme heat or cold.
When I drove a commercial vehicle I kept a five gallon bucket lined with two trash bags as an emergency potty. Nothing is worse than having the Hershey squirts on the road and hoping you can make it to a bathroom before you have an accident.
I also keep the same setup in my little Nissan van for emergencies. My van has no rear or side window so privacy is not an issue.
A heavy window tint on the rear windows would give some privacy if you had to use the potty on the road. I keep toilet paper and baby wipes in the van at all times along with a bug out bag that contains other essential survival gear.

I want to make a no build camp mode option that is removable.

On the rear seats I would like to make a removable kitchen set, cool box and cooker, sink and work surfaces

under that I really hope there is an option to access the vault from the cab if not then I will cut an access hatch myself with a plasma cutter. So I can crawl into the vault as a bed space.

All keeping stealth so tinted windows, it will look like any other cybertruck and could park anywhere nobody would know someone was sleeping in there
