Ohhhh Sh!t, just averaging the last 4 xxxx makes you 41k in line. I’m 58k in line, I ordered 10 minutes after release. Looks like they are moving though the reservation! Nice. Thank you for update.
I’m not so sure. I ordered right away also. RN112774xxx and nothing as of yet. Not sure how they’re doing it. A few RN1128 numbers getting configuration invites. ??

How long ago did you rent your model y on Turo?
How was your experience on Turo?
I took my MY on 4/2021, rented out for a about 1.5 years.

I had great experience in my region (LA westside). I kept the rate high enough to be worthwhile for me. even if that means only 1-2 rents a month. Renters who were able to pay the premium treated the car well. I tried to rent to locals, not to airport. Also limited milage so people don't exploit.

In my experience, the buzz and demand is key. Once the market is flooded then it's a race to the bottom. Start early, enjoy the high rates when they last, and don't get attached in case something goes wrong (insurance will cover, even post-accident depreciation if you're persistent).

Hmm, I just checked the order tracker again and there is someone in MD that has an RN very close (even slightly higher) than mine. I am in the RN1130 range. It would be wonderful to have the option to configure but it is becoming clear that the algorithm Tesla is using isn't sequential. I am going to let my hopium remain for now.
I'm a RN1130 in MD also and wasn't even thinking there was a chance that I'd get an invitation. I kind of hope I don't get one because I don't want to have to make that decision. It would not be an easy one.

I’m calling tomorrow to see if they’ll allow me to transfer my Unlimited SC for Life to my CT order. If so, I’ll make the purchase. ???
Sadly - No transfer allowed to the CT currently.

Of course not, but they don't have to iterate every base 10 digit the same and they may not be allocating reservations for every single enumeration of a count.

Fact is no one knows the reservation number schema except Tesla and they could have it setup for skipped or reserved numbers or who knows what. They might even have an algorithm to allocate reservation numbers from a block of numbers, or they may be skipping certain groups.

But it's a good bet they have at least 2 million orders, and Tesla may just have a schema that spreads those 2 million across the block of numbers. Either way, it's a good bet that the person with a RN116xxxxxx is further down the distributed list than someone with RN112xxxxxx.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying.

They will contact you for a delivery appointment soon.
For those who are getting such a notice: please inform the rest of us of your city and state. I would appreciate it. TIA

Has anyone seen any movement since we got this “Prepare for Delivery” email almost immediately after confirming the order?

I’m just curious if it was kind of automated. I feel like everyone who confirmed, got this email the next day.

I confirmed on the 11th and have not received a "prepare for delivery" email.

These “Welcome to Tesla family. Prepare for delivery…” are autogenerated emails simply asking you to follow the steps in your Tesla app. To me, the first notable sign of progress would be the VIN assignment.

interesting. The poster before you stated they never received that email.

I figured the same as you, though.

I didn't get the "prepare for delivery" email when I confirmed my FS order. I just got a "Thank you for your order" immediately after. Maybe because I already own a Tesla.
