I just scheduled delivery for this Friday 5/29. Ordered 4/11. VIN 95k
I could have scheduled delivery for as early as Thursday.
Let's see what happens.
Sounds good … if the delivery schedule has recently opened then you are good to go … let’s hope for the best

My VIN is 93xxx and in containment hold. Hopefully they are attacking this by VIN # in sequence (selfish thought…😁). Any other 93xxx VIN’s also on hold

My VIN is 94xxx. I ordered on 4/2 and was supposed to take delivery 5/6 and has been getting pushed back. I was told my Cybertruck is on a "containment hold" due to a vehicle terminal display issue. Advisor on the phone says it’s a "misaligned separation of wires" behind the screen affecting the data connection. Waiting on corporate engineers to review logs and clear the fix. However, I went in person and the advisors said they could not confirm, and that they should have an update in a week. It has been extremely frustrating...

There’s something bigger than this … there’s some serious issue which has entailed a containment hold. Tesla is hiding the facts. Various advisors at different SCs are narrating concocted stories on HQ’s directive to stall time till the main hidden issue is resolved. CTs from 93xxx,94xxx and 95xxx series are effected. As per them there’s nothing coming up on the records of these held CTs except that they need to be thoroughly inspected. The only positives drawn from this are

1. It’s a larger issue spread across a lot of vehicles thus must be on priority to be sorted out at the earliest.

2. Better to get this issue settled before delivery than to recall the CTs later.

let’s wait and see … that’s all I can do. I’m slightly relaxed too as I’m NOT committed financially as yet.

My research shows that the CT “containment hold“ is due to issues with the VTD (vehicle terminal display). It apparently has to do with a wiring issue.

We should know the truth shortly.

There’s something bigger than this … there’s some serious issue which has entailed a containment hold. Tesla is hiding the facts. Various advisors at different SCs are narrating concocted stories on HQ’s directive to stall time till the main hidden issue is resolved. CTs from 93xxx,94xxx and 95xxx series are effected. As per them there’s nothing coming up on the records of these held CTs except that they need to be thoroughly inspected. The only positives drawn from this are

Ouch... how long are you waiting before cancelling? Unfortunately, my financing and payment are already complete. Still trying to figure out if I can pause financing with my bank and how long I should wait. I'd hate having to cancel and re-submit things if it'll be fixed in the next week or so.

If it's a bigger issue, is it even worth taking delivery and placing a new order in hopes that the next batch gets resolved?

Spoke to an advisor - his recommendation was not to cancel and rebook as that may be much longer wait. Apparently my CT is still in CA, picking up in Seattle

I’m not so sure…we’ve heard stories from members about containment holds for:

-VSH Splay (battery harness issue, possibly requiring battery replacement)
-Firmware
-VTD wiring

Meanwhile a few people in this time period have no containment holds and got their trucks delivered.

Oops … That’s sad to hear about the financing etc. I’m not going to cancel. The next orders are July-August. I’m not taking the risk. I’ll wait.

Hello to all. New to forum. Ordered my cyber beast 04/18/26. Lucky enough to VIN assigned 04/23. Scheduled delivery appt 04/29. Waaaay faster than I expected.
On the day I was supposed to go pick up my truck, I got a call from Tesla Kansas City that they need to reschedule due a maintenance hold on the vehicle. At that point I was a little annoyed as they let me know the day of, and it’s 2 Hour Dr. for me, I had already taken a half a day off.

A new delivery date was set for the following Wednesday. Again, I got a call that it needed to be rescheduled on the day of, speeding. They didn’t have any temporary tax left, and there was still a maintenance bold. No one was able to tell me what the maintenance hold was for.

I set another delivery appointment 05/13. I did not get any phone calls and drove two hours to go pick up my vehicle. I checked in, they told me it would be five minutes. I waited for over an hour, before the manager came out and said they could not release the vehicle due to a maintenance hold. Needless to say, I was not happy. I spoke with the manager and got her cell phone number, and she promised me she would be calling me the next day. That was yesterday, she never called.
Would be interested to know what you guys think is going on, and what I should do.
The anger in me wants to cancel the order, but I’ve already down payment for the wrap (to cover the cost), and have bought accessories.

Wow! sorry to hear that. I totally understand since i'm in the same situation. I'm In Houston, 2 hours away from Giga Factory. I ordered my on June 5th, my first delivery date was July 6th but I reschedule to the 10th cause I was out of town. I got a call and they reschedule to the 11th and said it need software update for a revised part. then they reschedule again to the 14th. I was super ready and of course, I have to mess with my work schedule. They called 3 hours before pickup on the 14th said the same thing and schedule me on the July 22nd. I was really disappointed. I decided to go to the delivery center and see if they can figure something out. I GOT INSURANCE AND 45K DOWN PAYMENT all done right after getting 1st delivery day on the app just because i don't want no delay. Had conversation with them at the delivery center and there was a moment I almost cancel my order and get all down payment back cause I felt like i'm paying too much for this kind of service. I think they having problem with communication between their team. what if i'm 2 hours away like you? anyway, hope you already got you truck in perfect condition by now.
