Prospective Buyer with Questions

I am considering buying a CT and have a few questions for the community.
First, a bit of a background. I'm not new to Tesla. This would be the fourth one. I have recently sold my Model X and bought a Juniper Y Performance. We also have another Model Y. I missed the size and the utility of the Model X, as well as some of the nicer finishes, like the Alcantara and the large windshield.

At the same time, I keep finding myself in need of a truck both for work and home. So, that's why I'm considering a Cybertruck.
Questions:

1. How is the build quality in 2026, compared to Juniper Y. Any rattles? Is the cabin quiet?
2. How is the driving dynamic? Is it more like the Y or more like the X?
3. Are you guys getting harassed by other drivers still? I haven't experienced anything like that with any of our Teslas, but I live in Chicago suburb and here just about every other car is a Tesla.
4. Any other advice?

For us CT owners up here in upstate New York, where there are few CTs driving around, I have to schedule at least an extra half an hour for any local trips around here to answer all of the questions I get about "what the heaven are you driving". So I decided to list them on a card that I give out if I'm in a hurry, here it is:

My 7th and last truck (previous daily drivers, all 4x4 Toyotas starting with the 1979 SR5, last Tundra, a 2014 had 220,000 miles on it), love this beast, is the future, all electric, lightning quick (0-60 2.6 sec), steer by wire progressive steering (full left to right lock 340°), 4 wheel steering (really tight turns), air suspension (17" high setting clearance), regenerative breaking (rarely use brakes), 48 volt low voltage (really small wiring harnesses), Etherloop communication, heavy duty stainless steel body, almost NO maintenance (Tires, wiper blades & fluid is about it), over the air updates, and most importantly gas pickup $60 to drive 250 miles, Cybertruck $19-$22 electricity (400 wH/mile x 250 miles at $.19-$.22/kWh) to drive 250 miles, full slow charge at home 5 hours, full fast charge at supercharger 45 minutes, and Tesla is 10-15 years ahead of everyone else.

Did you test drive a beast or AWD? Beast has significantly more power / sporty’er feeling. AWD is plenty powerful don’t get me wrong, beast is just a beast.

Edit: just seen you did have a demo Beast, Did you put it in Beast mode?

I have not put it into Beast mode or even try to throw it into corners because I had my 11-year old with me. She loved the thing by the way. She said it's "Goated" which apparently means it's better than good.

I'll definitely take it for another spin by myself. I wonder if I could do a 24 hour test drive. I know they offer that sometimes. I've purchased 4 Teslas, so I'd hope they'd be open to it.

Hard corners starts to feel top heavy, to fast and fronts will loose track and push. Like being on loose dirt, definitely don’t push it like that on subpar tires. I’ve done 45mlh corners at about 75 ish but was on known good FL roads. I wouldn’t recommend pushing it like that untill your very comfortable with the machine and know your terrain & risks in the event something terrible happens.

24/48 hr Demo is going to be up to the service manager, there was people abusing the 48hr demo taking them on road trips and whatnot, subsequently they ended that. Prolly get another 2 hour demo tho.

That's why the only name mine has had since I got it over two years ago is "The Goat". Well, that and it's like a nimble mountain goat on tight mountain roads.

I have two sets of wheels and tires and it definitely feels loose in corners on the Wrangler Duratrac's with the deep lugs. But on the Wrangler Territory's it drives very well, even when pushed hard, not quite sports car well, but very sporty for a truck. It will leave other trucks (and many cars) in the dust on a twisty road. I would love to see what it would do with some really grippy street tires.

That's pretty much true with any vehicle. What tires are you running?

I’m still rocking the OEM GY-AT’s. Only thing I don’t like about them is the cost lol. There great for the truck overall. I’m on the fence about trying other tires esp ones not rated for 100+ mph and load for when I’m randomly hauling stuff (not ass) lmao.

The Cybertruck “is the best vehicle ever made or conceived by any OEM including Tesla”….No Cap, No B.S., No Overexaggeration. The driving dynamics (Steer By Wire) can not be compared to any other OEM or any other Tesla as well. If you already are familiar with Tesla then rest will be seamless for you and don’t see why your hesitant! Buy it as soon as possible as long as you can afford it! WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY!

When booking demo, talk to the sales rep and suggest/ask if you can do 48 hours instead. Basically the idea of it is you pick it up by Saturday day time, and return it Monday Morning because Tesla closed on Sunday.

I get flipped off by Jeep drivers maybe once a month. I figure that they are just sad that they can't afford something nicer.

Strange, I occasionally get the finger from Subaru drivers and occasional other small suvs (CRV, rav4)

I got a 2026, no complaints about the build quality. The cabin is super quiet, a couple of times it’s almost been eerie, driving 30 on a freshly paved road in virtual silence, The driving dynamic is unlike anything i’ve ever driven, the steering by wire just changes everything. no harassment for me.

1. I have a late 2024 and build quality is great
2. I would say more like an x but really completely unique, outstanding for the size
3.Unfortunately this occasionally still happens, mostly an occasional finger or thumbs down, once picking my son up from CCD one of the kids with his mom yelled “we don’t like teslas and no Kings” the mom shushed her but it was odd for sure
4. Amazing vehicle overall, the harassment is mild but still a shame and only negative
