I personally would avoid the money shaming. Kinda implies deuchery.

Instead reply by telling them it's the most American made vehicle you can buy and if you think it's ugly, congratulations on using the 1st amendment. Then ask them to eat a bag of ?s.

"I hope you are having a wonderful day." Then a genuine compliment to the person or persons.

Providing no satisfaction to a bully is the best medicine for the piss and vinegar inside of some.

Totally on the money shaming.

Kind of confused on the second.

Is this a thing? To eat a bag of them. Like a tick tock challenge.

I like them, but a whole bag would be overkill for my EP Parm.

My wife's coworker went on a rant about how Cybertrucks are ugly. Immediately my wife turned to another coworker and humble bragged about me driving a Cybertruck. The hater was silenced

@Outdoors "eat a bag of ?s" means "eat a bag of dicks"

Forgive me for not caring about being a douche to a douche. ? it’s being clever to stop a hater in there tracks . Now if I just randomly told people they couldn’t afford my truck when they said “nice truck bro” then yeah total douchery

Just did an EV Car show yesterday and had LOTS of people liking our new CT!!

Just so funny getting asked the same questions over and over:
1) How much range does it have?

2) How long does it take you to charge up?

Eventually, when they would ask, I would ask back... hehe...

"What's the range on your car?" Most had no idea, some tried to figure it out. If they didn't know right away, I would follow up with 2 more:
A) What kind of car/truck is it?
B) How long have you owned it?
Then it was "wow, you've had it for 8 years and you don't know it's full range?" Everyone got it!! Some even said "Oh, I get it... yeah, but I just need to be able to reach the next gas station." And of course I said, yeah, I just need to get to the next supercharger... Would you like to see a map of them?

For question 2 above, I told them 30 seconds. "Huh?"... Yeah, it only takes me about 30 seconds after I park it at home, I get out, plug it in and go in the house... Yeah, about 30 seconds." I even resorted to: "How long does it take you to fill up your car when you get home? Do you have a fast gas pump or a slow one at home?" hehe...

I had a group of about 6 people when one guy said "Yeah, but I can fill up at the gas station in about 5 minutes" So, I asked, "Wow, that's some fast pumps, where do you go?" He said "Costco"... I said "Ahhh, you live next door to Costco." He said no, about 3 miles away, but it's cheaper there. So, I just reminded him how long it takes to DRIVE to Costco and THEN fill up and THEN drive home... Yep, takes about 15 minutes... But for me it's 30 seconds!

Other than that one guy (who is now wondering if he really IS getting fueled up faster or not), everyone else was very nice and most were very impressed by it (CT) as well as how many different models of EVs we had there.

A fun day overall.

I was driving down the street with the windows down on a warm day. As I was driving by a man standing in his yard, who looked at my CT, I heard him yell "what the hell?" with his arms raised!

I saw a man taking a picture of my CT while I was parked. I asked him what do you think? He said, "he doesn't like it." Wondering why he took the picture then?
So many people stop and ask to see the truck when I am parked somewhere. All responses have been positive so far. The most fun are the kids 10 and under. All kids LOVE the Cybertruck. Maybe it's the kid in me, but I love it too.

Everyone is obviously free to give their own response to questions. However, I would love for this community to take the high road with tone-positive responses that do not put down the inquirer, or make them feel poor, or uneducated/out of the know. No one likes a smarty-pants and it does not help the reputation of CT/Tesla owners when we “win” on the dialog.

Is it a political thing? I thought originally people were just upset that the truck was weighted and people without CDL could drive it. Now that I’ve had it for half a year, I keep getting flicked off at least weekly. Then the political add came out. This is so disturbing that people feel the need to flick me off. Just got it back today with the satin pearl white wrap! Love it.

We don't have many of them in Indiana so pretty much 100% of the people are seeing it for the first time, here are a few frequent comments...

Who makes that?
Did you build it?
So it's electric?
Where are all the controls?
Can you get those wipers at Walmart?
It opens like a microwave!

I have to say it is fun meeting people and getting their thoughts. Nearly all of them like it.
It looks like a fridge, opens like a microwave, and it's a iPhone on wheels.

So today I hauled some pine tree cuttings to the landfill for composting. While I was throwing those onto the brush pile, landfill employee operating a giant front loader walked over and the usual questions came:
What is it? Who makes it? and, I never seen one before.
I gave him a quick 2 minute walkaround, then back to work for both of us.
