My partner is Filipino and we're both blown away by this! I had no idea.(Maybe) fun trivia:
Boondock is one word. It comes from the Tagalog word, bundok, meaning mountains. In WWII, the American soldiers in the Phillipines picked up on this word and started calling their boots "bookdockers" - which is where the word comes from.
Have a great week!
It's actually from the US occupation of the Phillipines after the Spanish-American War.My partner is Filipino and we're both blown away by this! I had no idea.
Not really a brainiac here but a Filipino born and raised CT owner. The prospect of a towable trailer like a Pebble fascinated me that I actually put down a $500 deposit in 10/23. This is primarily a result of the escalating housing market in San Francisco that it became worth looking into. What happens in late 2024 when the trailer is scheduled for release is another story though. Excited for what Pebble has planned and the potential for pairing it to the CT. We shall see and yes, "Dati akong namumnundok sa Makiling." ?(Maybe) fun trivia:
