All,

I got my CyberBeast and this is my third Tesla. I noticed that the guidelines on the rear and front camera represent the wheels, not the mirrors. I am more than sure that Model S and Model 3 show the guidelines that include the mirrors. Here are my questions:

1. Is my observation even correct?
2. If yes, Why do you think they did that?
3. How do we compensate for this discrepancy? As I am driving, I got used to rely/trust on these lines. Especially, the front of the CyberTruck is not very obvious where it is, given the slope of the windshield.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Best,
M

I don't think that my Model 3 and Model Y indicate the mirrors, I believe they are the wheels.

I don't think that most people leave the forward vision screen up when driving, so it generally doesn't have anything to with the hood, except for parking.
And when parking, that's indeed when I look at the camera for spacing. (Didn't really realize there were forward lines, only reverse).
But they came in handy when parallel parking, because I can see where the wheels are going to be in relation to the curb.

I can't see past the top of the hood in the Cybertruck, Model 3 or Model Y.

May be an optical illusion - but the width of the guidelines seem smaller on CT than my Model 3, on the rear camera view!
