Okay so my 16' 14' 16ft boards weren't long enough so I used some kids chalk to make leveling points to extend past the back. The lines in the rear are definitely narrower, approximately by the width of the board which is 5" making the overall width 10" narrower than the truck.

In Colorado if the boards are straight/dry to begin with, they stay straight/dry. If they are wet, they end up as crazy straws.

RESULTS: The lines are flawlessly setup to curb your wheels.

What was your suspension setting during the test? Unless they adjust the lines based on height, the lower the Cybertruck, the narrower the guide line spacing. So a picture taken in entry mode wouldn't be representative of what you get while parking.

OTOH, the lines might be setup for off roading and show what the vehicle track will be (driving path), rather than tire bounds.

Either way, nice to see they are at least centered.

Thanks so much for posting this. My early Model S has no bumper proximity sensors and no cameras other than the single rear camera above the rear license plate. The guidelines on it have been my only assistance for parking which i prefer to to by backing in so i can pull out easier when leaving a spot.

The lines on my car are fairly perfect, pretty much. Never failed me in 11 years and 130k miles.

I’m a bit surprised that the CT / CB is less accurate and I would have totally trusted them based on my prior experience so this heads up word to the wise is very much appreciated.

Cheers

Center them to them tires. Probably based on that, not outer bounds.

Great point, it's over 100° so maybe I'll try this later when it cools down and see what the difference is between high and low which is the setting I was on when I took the pictures.

My 20 foot 2x4s are mostly straight with less than one inch difference from front spread to rear. Brick is 8 inches wide offset 1.5 inches from board.

When in high, the lines are fairly centered on the tire tracks

That's a pretty big difference. I feel like the lines should move in and out when you change the height.
