Hi everyone,

I purchased the light bar pods below which are 12v and got a bracket to mount them. Everything is mounted and it looks good. Now for the wiring, I’m having some issues which I’m hoping someone can help. I got a step down transformer (48v to 12v) and I’ve wired the two red and black wires into the 48v section and the light bar to the 12v section, but everytime I turn on the roof bar power feed, the lights flicker slightly and then I get a “reset” button beside the power feed switch on the screen. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong or missing ?

Now that I’m looking at this again, is the issue that I got a 120w step down transformer instead of 360w one ?

I have a somewhat similar step down converter, but it’s 48V>24V and it’s connected to the frunk power feed for a different project I’m working on.

Did you confirm you have the correct wires connected?

Put that big bulky box in the side pillar where you'll find a connector also. Gold mine right there for ya

I installed a golf cartt 48vto 12v transformer. Don't look great.
I've got a light bar on bottom of bumper off a 48 to 12. Both work of screen outlets.

So I actually tried a 240w step down transformer as well and it stayed on for about 10 seconds then showed reset as well. I think because it was running at 100% capacity since the lights are also 250w. The 360w one works perfectly though

That is good news. I wasn't even thinking that you need to rate the transformer at one hundred and twenty five percent to be certain. Your choice of the three sixty should be great though. Thank you for this reply. And i'm glad that light is working good for you. Maybe someday I will get my light bar I was promised and I too can light up everything!
