I saw an interesting discussion on dust and dust prevention in the vault and I was looking to buy the stuff from this discussion:
https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...-truck-bed-my-diy-solution-whats-yours.40827/
But while in Tuscaloosa for University of Alabama Graduation- I was at my Travelodge (paid $419/night) during a multi-hour downpour. Of course I stood on the balcony and stared at my Cybertruck angles as the rain danced and puddled off the stainless steal but I noticed a steady stream at both bumpers.
I realized that this was the rain flow off the Tonneau cover, down the sides and on to the openings at the bottom of the vault by the tailgate. Even though I’m missing a slat on my cover, the vault stayed relatively dry fore and aft after very heavy rains (about 10 hours of med to heavy rains total).
You can see the amount of rain that entered (I did have to open the cover during rain about three times so that accounts for ~50% of moisture back there. )
The openings on both sides of the tailgate and along the bed let the steady stream of water flow off of the vault and down to the bumper. I’d be afraid to block them up and creat a puddle in the vault vs the dust free environment.
