Really disappointed with the service center.

After almost 6 month driving the truck the back door open button on the driver side stopped working.

- September 29 submitted service request, got scheduled for Oct 16th
- Oct 14 got rescheduled for Oct 30, because they are waiting for parts to arrive
- Oct 30 brought the truck for service with estimated completion by the end of the day. At the end of the day got pushed to November 1st
- November 1st no updates. Completion was pushed to November 8th. Requested an update.
- November 4th got a message that they are waiting for parts.
-November 5th. Got a message that parts are arriving “tomorrow”
-November 8th. Got a message that parts have just arrived and completion date is set by the end of the day November 12th
-November 12th (today) Got a message that they are waiting on the parts to arrive. Parts are scheduled to arrive on November 17th. Completion date is moved by the end of day November 18th.

It is so frustrating to be treated like that.

This has never happened to ANY other service facility.

Wait, my niece has an ICE waiting for a transmission that was supposed to be available 2 weeks ago.

Maybe it happens to all service facilities?

FWIW, hurricane Helene dropped a tree on my CB, had it towed to 3rd party Tesla certified collision repair Oct 3. They still don't have the windshield in stock, and it's been scheduled for delivery date multiple times. I won't go into detail, but I believe many non-Tesla oem's also have part backlogs. My SF car rental is up this week so there's that. After driving my CB for a month (took delivery aug 20), for 6 weeks I'm tooling around in a 4 cyl camry, hit my head getting in and out. So I sympathize...but am patient (no choice). I don't think it's on purpose or poor service, it's just new model with channel supply parts backorders. ICe cars with 12v been around for 100 years, and new models change sheet metal coke bottle curves, tweak lights a little to sell new models every year, some electronic tweaks, blah blah. Still glad i have the truck, like you wish I had it in my driveway:) Eventually am sure that will happen.
