My wife has expressed some concern about being able to self-extricate from our truck in the event of a rollover or similar due to the strength of the windows.
Overall, I feel like this is a valid concern but even if it wasn’t, I’d like to get something that reassures her of a plan in that situation.
In other words, please don’t let this devolve into a thread about how safe and awesome and easy to escape from the CT is.
This is not a criticism of your truck. Just a request for help finding the right product.
It would also be awesome if it’s something that can be mounted somewhere accessible in the cabin.
Found this on Amazon but wanted to get thoughts and/or experiences from all of
you first.

The tool that you show from Amazon is a knock off of one my wife kept in her cars for maybe 30 years or more because she was involved in an accident where she was hit at very high speed sideways and pushed into a canal and both cars went underwater She was pulled out by somebody that was on the scene, but after that it was recommended to her to have one of those in the car, but honestly, I think in that panic situation you’d have to be very well trained and it may or may not work out. It’s like having a gun if you’re not trained, it will give you a sense of security, but not actually be there without some type of training and with a tool like that, how do you get trained? If it gives her a sense of security get it and just keep it in the door pocket. What I do to keep it from rattling and know where it is to keep it in the door pocket, wrap a microfiber towel around it to keep it tight in place. You cannot really prepare for every accident. You just have to minimize your risk and then it’s to no avail when the accident actually happens.
I would think the strength of the windows is a real concern on one hand it keeps you safer on the other hand it could trap you. It’s just the way you look at it.

I think this is your best option. I have pretty much the same thing, only its not an all in 1 solution, I pieced it together from the absurd amount of tools I have collected. I have a mini-hammer, a blade and a spring loaded punch to fracture it. Although looking at what you posted, I'll probably just pick one of those up. Mine sounded good at the time and it'll work, but looking for 3 items in an emergency isn't ideal. I keep them all in the armrest compartment.

Edit : I changed my mind, I just went back and read the description of the one you posted because I was going to buy it. I saw this : Note that it is not designed to shatter windshields or laminated glass. So I don't think it will be powerful enough to break it.

I bought the “Breach Rescue Bar” from Colonel Blades. They consistently sell out and you need to get on their email list to possibly buy one. It comes in a foam-lined box that I keep in the driver’s side door well. It will allow you to manually cut the laminated glass enough that you can also use it to “pry” a window downward and possibly self-extricate. No batteries to worry about. It has significant “heft,” a sharp point on one end for penetration, and an inner serrated edge for glass cutting. And on the other end it has the prybar function. It’s a good tool.

The linked tool doesn’t appear to have a serrated glass-cutting edge. For laminated glass you need something to physically “cut” the glass. Cut the side windows enough laterally, parallel to the armrest where the glass comes out of the door, and then you can then bend it downward. There are videos of hoodlums breaking into Cybertrucks using this method.

Thanks for the recommendation. I signed up for their email list to order one. I have a typical escape tool now, but after reading everything about laminated glass on these threads, I know I need something different, like this tool.

There’s a brand called ‘resqme’ that I’ve tested (closet prepper here) on a variety of auto glass.

I have those keychains on all our car keys. Not sure how well it would do in the CT with how strong those windows but I figure I’ve my edc on my belt usually and worst case if it’s dying or damaging my hearing a supersonic 9mm should take care of a window lickety split.

This is THE primary tool I would recommend first, as it is pretty much foolproof since it doesn't rely on any electrical system and is specifically designed to work on modern laminated glass. You need at least (3) primary things in a tool like this: Leverage, punture/penetration, and serrated sawing.

https://www.firstoutrescue.com/index.php/glas-master-glass-removal-tool.html

I would also recommend that you take your family to a junkyard and pre-arrange with the owner to practice on a few junked cars (not sure how much they will want to charge, but maybe $50-100 ??). The most important aspect though is an actual practical application demonstration of how the tool works.

There are a ton of videos out there demonstrating how to perform a field extrication too. Don't bother with any small form factor tools. They will just give you a false sense of safety.

Also, this tool needs to be hard mounted, within reach of the driver. Preferably somewhere that doesn't become deformed during the most likely impacts (think: crushed door, collapsed footwell, etc).

Here’s what I have in all of our vehicles:

https://lifelinerescuetools.com/

Works on laminated glass like those on our CT side windows. It’s on the pricier side and bulky compared to most but I decided it was the best for us.

This is the video that made my decision easier:

Uh, fire fighters need many swings with an axe to get into our windows. If we're upside down, hopefully the windows have broken and can be folded out.

But no pocket window breaker is going to get you through laminated glass.

Incorrect!

Both the BRB and the Lifeline will work. I like the BRB as it has some “heft” but is small enough to store in the driver’s door well and comes in a box with cutout foam.
