I’ll have an actual solution to make the Cybertruck plastic exterior bits rugged sometime in the near future. ?

They're a little more than big textured stickers in fairness, the product is very effective at what it does, and looks dramatically better than the factory trim.

The XPel Armor has been used for many years for this type of application, although more normally for the lower third of doors on Jeeps and other similar applications. But, it's UV resistant and carries the Xpel warranty. The wholesale price it pretty high, all our prices are based on that plus 30% to cover labor, machinery, packaging, consumables, design time etc. It's not a Tesla tax, by any means, these products use a lot of material, and the time to develop can be long, and very expensive. The current project (vault interior panels) has burned through about 700sqft of material. It also eats blades, and those are $100 each, we get through about one a week.
