If this helps you any...

1) I got my Cyberbeast about a year ago now and I've been back to the dealership 0 times.
2) I got 0% interest on my financing (down payment was a bitch though ;)).
3) There isn't another driving machine (at least that I've ever driven) that compares to the driving experience of my Cyberbeast. Not even in the same ballpark. It truly is amazing (<--- Truth).
4) Like others have said on here, don't listen to the BS on YouTube. Most of the naysayers on there have never even sat in one. There may be legit issues but I haven't had any yet (that I haven't figured out myself or an update didn't fix).
5) When unsupervised FSD comes to fruition, you'll have the most valuable, personal vehicle in human history.
6) I payed the extra for the Tri-motor and for me it was ABSOLUTELY worth every penny. It's SOOOO much fun!!!
7) What people are saying about the negativity you'll receive on a daily basis is true (at least for the time being).
8) It's great in the winter (but be prepared for a range hit).
9) You don't have to constantly wash and maintain the stainless. I've had mine for about a year and I've only sprayed it off at the car wash twice. I've never washed it any other time. It's just fine.
10) You'll get excited every time there is a software update push like you've just received

I agree the screen is stationary not much to protect, but I bought a spider anti glare matte finish and I’m installing a screen swivel these two things combined make a huge difference. But yes I agree it’s kinda pointless it’s a screen made of glass.
The above poster clearly has no crazy kids swinging their backpacks and throwing them from the driver side to the passenger side. Don’t even ask.

I have no kids but I do have occasional passengers and I also have swung around my 40 oz hydro flask. Screen protectors are cheap vs what the cost would be to fix what you’re protecting. It’s mostly about peace of mind. But fingerprint and glare are 2 huge factors.

I am seeing many Youtube posts making the case for the Cybertruck being a total failure and even surpassing the Edsel as the worst new car failure ever.
I have a Foundation CT on order, awaiting recall repairs for the cantrail issue so I haven't received my CT yet.
I am growing concerned that maybe this purchase is a mistake. The FUD is working.
Also, I am thinking if I hold out a little longer, until the 1st quater earnings call, maybe there will be some serious additional incentives on the CT if Tesla really does need to start moving these trucks due to super low sales and all the issues with panels falling off, etc.
I would sure appreciate the community's feedback on this.
I'm just going to make a couple broad comments based on my experience with the CT. While the recalls are annoying, it's a new platform so it's kind of expected. The demand for the CT doesn't matter that much to me, I've never enjoyed driving a vehicle as much as I enjoy driving the CT. Also, likely the demand will increase as it becomes more common and political tensions subside. For me, the only thing that really matters is that I love driving it and have no intention of selling. On another note, despite it being a new platform with new tech, Tesla is extremely well established and isn't going anywhere, so you'll always be able to get it parts and repaired if necessary (unlike Fisker).

I do have kids, but I can assure you that a thin film of glass over that wide of an area as the Tesla Screen will not provide any meaningful protection from any kind of blow that would crack the glass. And glass is etremely hard and difficult to scatch anyway, so the "protection" part is just psychological.

I agree that if it helps in other ways, such as fingerprints or glare, then that's cool. I also agree that it's relatively cheap.

As we say in neurosurgery, it’s protecting the doctor’s psyche rather than the patient.

I have to 100% agree with this post. I also paid the extra for the beast and it is exhilarating. It’s hard to describe. Imagine you feeling like you’re in a tank that takes off like a rocket ship. I also don’t understand all the bad reviews, except a common thread seems to be that none of these people actually own this car. So I have to assume there’s a political statement or ax to grind. This car may or may not be the commercial success that it was hoped for, but if it isn’t, it’s more about the revolutionary design, musk, and the fact that it’s out of most people’s reach financially.

A screen swivel? Tesla allows that to happen? I must misundertsand...
Yes I installed a swivel in my model y and had no issues, in fact service time likes it when there in service mode as it’s gives a better optimal reach and view. I am installing one on my Cybertruck too. It’s already here I’m just gonna install it after my printer finishes. I don’t need them trying to crawl into the dash and it being in their way.

Also, "when your printer finsihes?" What does that mean?...just curious...

It's not a flop.

It's a problem of economics. Let's say that at the current price the AWD or Beast is basically a $90K car. Not many people have money for a $90K car. The purchase rate of the CT is basically the same economic spread in society. Only about 4% of all buyers can afford the CT.

There are a bunch who bought in early who couldn't afford a $1,300+ / mo car payment and they are the ones hurting the most since the truck is not unavailable. It is very available.

After a year or two, I'll pickup a used one for my vacation home and just leave it there.

I ordered the one from Tsportline. But there are many out there here is the one I Ordered. I believe hanshow also makes one but they come in very handy. After installing one on my model y It’s a must in my cybertruck now.

Did you find that it forced the Display lower at all? Well, I guess you can report back after you install it on the CT (after your printer finshes, of course ?). But how about on the Model Y?
