Considering they were offering AWD for $49,000 when ordered and FSD for $7,000. It increaded beyond my predictions, almose doubled and NO $7,000 rebate, nor Maine’s $2500 as well now. It’s a big bite for a retiree.

As a 71 YO retiree i can relate to you but it is so worth it. In my case the nearest SC is one state over in WA. The 2 recalls so far have been performed by a mobile Tesla tech that cam to my home in rural MT. And there was no cast to me. The FSD will allow me to visit friends and family that would be to far for me to drive. No wife and family is next state over. The FSD has made things much easier.

If you feel you won’t be able to drive safely and require FSD, I suggest you turn in your license and get a UBER subscription.

FSD isn’t meant to drive you around, it’s a party trick as of now and a hazard on the road at times.

The state has a pop of 1.5 mil and is only 7% smaller than CA. And CA has a pop of 40 million. Things are very spread out here. Maine is similar. Anyway buy the truck. You wont regret it. As they say, buy once, cry once. We only live once.

Have you considered waiting for the rear-wheel-drive Cybertruck?

It sounds like FSD is your priority, so sacrificing AWD will save you tens-of-thousands

Otherwise no, Tesla does not negotiate. The workaround is selling your trade-in to Carvana or Carmax, as Tesla tends to underbid trade in values

drop the FSD and charger. get the all-wheel drive instead of the beast. buy the FSD and charger on the side. the the $49999 will qualify for the rebate.

I’m not sure what you’re looking for or other post about the tax rebate not being allowed, the registration being to high the the floor mats costing to much . The this the that. If you can’t then you can’t it isn’t in your budget I hate flying commercial but they refuse to bring the price down on the G4 for me to afford one . They promised it would come down. Like oooo well guess I’m flying commercial again tomorrow..

I totally missed why everyone seems to think driving this truck is a right and not a privilege? I some times get it from the youngsters with that atttiude but from people above 45? Did Elon personally promise you people crying about the tax incentive not being there a sure thing ? The price told at the beginning not bring the end price when it came to market? These are things that if you don’t like you just say hey “I no longer can afford that or want it “ what gives around here ?
