Well, it is official.. Yesterday I took delivery of a 2025 AWD Cybertruck.. Waited patiently, then even longer for the $7,500 tax incentive. It has been 13 years since I owned my last vehicle. It was a champ and still is, but after going through a lot personally, I decided I deserved an upgrade. It is a dream come true.

There are display stickers that seem like a protection from the factory on the main display. After finding out there are no alternative screen protectors after market, should I keep it? Who has?

I plan on keeping the car for 15+ years.. It is a surreal experience to finally have one.

Congrats on the purchase, what VIN # range was yours in?

As far as the screen protectors go there are a bunch of aftermarket options out there, Amazon, Tesla accessory sellers, etc.
Buy one of those and when it arrives RIPPPP that transport film off the screens!

I took delivery of my 2024 VIN #520XX truck on December 14th. Call me a weirdo, but two months in, I still have the protective film on the screen. For the record, we've had the 2018 Model 3 since Aug 2018, and we never bought an aftermarket screen protector. 6.5 years and 70k+ miles with two kids, and the screen is still in perfect condition.

Not a weirdo at all. Mine is still on so we may be in the same camp.. Last car I owned has a CD player.. Everything Tesla is new to me. Glad to hear your M3 screen held up so well!

There are an abundance of them. I have a matte one for my front and rear screen to not show fingerprints and reduce glare.

I've always used Spigen for my Teslas, the install is so easy:

https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Prote...4429&sprefix=cybertruck+matte+s,aps,98&sr=8-3

but there are lower cost versions:

https://www.amazon.com/2024-Cybertr...8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

And you don't have to go matte, but IMO (after owning 4 Teslas) it's a MASSIVE improvement.

Took the front screen protector off at delivery, but still have the rear protector on… just cause. Actually, still have the blue protectors on the door sills; cut off the pull-tabs and pulled off the stickers. I think the blue looks cool. ?

Still have the visor mirror protectors on all my Teslas. No real reason. They’re hardly noticeable at all.

Recommend the matte if you have polarized sun glasses. otherwise, you may notice rainbow affect.

my suggestion is to leave the factory film on until you can apply a ceramic coating like this. Screen protectors aren't going to really do much to protect the screen and they often bubble up and/or prevent accurate touchpoints over time.

I have had incredible results with coating it.

Maybe cheap screen protectors, but I've never heard nor experienced that. They are glass, so they absolutely protect the screen as much or more than a phone as it's thicker than a phone screen protector.

How would a ceramic spray be better than a glass screen protector made out of tempered glass?

Tempered glass is pretty decent, but there are some cons to go along with it sometimes. If you have careless children in and out of the truck, it may be a good option against deep scratches but it probably won't do much for hard impacts. Maybe better than not having it I suppose.

I wouldn't use any sprays on the MCU. I applied a ceramic coating with a foam applicator and it stays very clean.
