Bought RGB door sills from @Tesstudio in June. Easy install, but the magnets are weak so I used their adhesive. Big problem: the charge port is inside the sill, so you can’t recharge without ripping them off (and breaking them).

Reached out Aug 6 with pics, followed up twice, finally got a reply on Aug 18. Their excuse? My CT “has less space” (false) and no refunds once installed.

Bottom line: Tesstudio sells a product that literally can’t be recharged if installed, knows it, and hides behind policy. Never doing business with them again.

I putVelcro under mine if that helps. Have to charge it through those little micro usb inputs roughly every 2-3 weeks.
unfortunately it is the same shitty design sold by all the vendors.
I’d try slide some kind of scraper under it to remove, charge and then reinstall with Velcro.
There is a newer carbon fiber version sold by evbase which has an actual lock mechanism but it’s shitty too. Velcro works better.

I've never had door sills that required periodic recharging. What do they do? Light up? I've never had or wanted that.

They do light up. They bring my kids lots of joy. They are cheap toys albeit fun ones.

Right?!! Why introduce a problem like that. No way I'd be charging a door sill every 2 to 3 weeks.

All these aftermarket guys lurking the forum sell the same Chinese junk - under-engineered in most cases, built to a price point, taking advantage of weak import controls and low tariffs. Problem may soon be solved. The bottom line is that none of the selling websites ever touch the actual inventory, are middle-man resellers. They get promotion from members here who a re provided 'free' stuff to put up YouTube videos and positive threads on this forum. Buyer beware - we get what we pay for. Sometimes. Says a guy with three unusable CT mirror camera systems on a shelf in my garage 🙋🏼‍♂️
