Yes, but their default answer is its not covered. Worth the ask, and if you're passionate about it then escalating. It is well known the core wheel aero covers damage/scuff the cheaply painted wheels. Tesla has acknowledged it. Their solutions have ranged from “well just dont use them anymore” to “put tape or felt on the contact points”. Some including myself have had luck asking for warranty wheel replacement or refinishing.

I just put in a service request for the same issue. TESLA told me it was not covered. Having other work done on my upcoming service appointment so didn’t wanna push the issue at this time. Might push a little harder just before the 50,000 warranty runs out.

Depends on the service center you get, be prepared to be told "yea if you don't want the rims scratched don't use the aero covers" best they will do is a quick refinish on the rims but yea the aero covers are a yes/no thing.

Yes = tiny bit more range but guaranteed to scratch so you leave them on all the time

No = no range gain but no rim scratch

My service center swapped out all 4 wheels for me. The damage is consistent with all 4 wheels so they swapped them out. But you cannot put them back on as they will not swap them out again.

Those are some shitty options. Come on Tesla ...

I tried and they were going to charge me to replace all wheels. I tried being persistent but got nowhere. Disappointed - had I known it would happen I would have told them not to put the covers on at delivery.

I just took delivery of my CT with Cyberwheels, covers were never installed... I like the look both on and off but prefer not to damage the wheels;

Is there a way to install them without damaging the wheels?

Best thing is to remove them at delivery.

And put back on before you trade or sell.
