A couple weeks ago my seat would not slide forward. All the other movements worked, but sliding forward was stuck. Unfortunately it was stuck in the most-rear position. I could hear the clicking of the motor trying to engage "click, click, click, etc" but no movement.

Coincidentally I had a mobile service scheduled the following day after it happened. I told him and he said he'd take a look. He fixed it pretty quick, but said if it happened again I should bring it in to Service. It happened again a week later and I'm wondering what he did. Service is a 2.5 hour drive for me and unfortunately I don't have a day to burn for awhile. I just need to get it to the forward position so it's more comfortable driving.

Not sure what the service guy did but any idea? I tried recalibrating the seat in service, and that didn't do it.

I had this issue with a Dodge Charger (not my CT) but to fix that I had to raise the seat up then it would go forward. No clue why that worked but it did.

Could also try physically pushing/pulling the seat forward as you hold the control to help that motor out a bit.

Tried moving it forward from all positions. I haven't tried pushing it, but will give it a go.

If you are hearing a "click" noise, then it's probably the gears slipping from the motor. likely broken unfortunately.

are you able to see anything under there? have pics?

That happened on thr passenger side front of my CT. Stopped going forward till it came up first. No one sits there often enough for me to notice before.

We have the exact same issue with the driver’s seat in our ā€˜23 MX. I have mobile service scheduled for 1/8/25 so if they fix it I’ll let you know.

I have this, service fixed it once, going back next month to fix... Maybe third time's a charm.

For people who hit this issue repeatedly, any chance that you occasionally move the seat too far away backwards? I hit this issue and had a service, and here’s the service summary:

Technician noticed customers concern front Driver Seat not moving backward when
switch is pressed. Technician diagnoses has found that the switch is not the issue the issue is
common on most Cyber Trucks Model 3s and Model Ys. The seat tracks will got stuck no need for
replacing just make sure when moving seat back its not forced beyond stopping point this can
cause the seat tracks to twist and cause seat not to move. Technician was able to unstick LH seat
and calibrated at this point as designed.
I hit this issue in the service center while picking up my CT AWD. They did a round of calibration and told me that a part of the driver seat needed a replacement, by they didn’t have any spare parts. Unfortunately, I had already signed all the paperwork and had to wait for a service appointment.

Eventually, I had the service in another service center and they fixed it without replacing any parts and left the above note. Honestly, this doesn’t make a lot of sense. There isn’t a progress bar or something telling me how far I’m moving the seat backwards. How would I know it’s too far before it got stuck again? But anyway, I’ve been careful since then and never hit it again.
