sentry mode previews

Yeah it's a bit expensive, IIRC there is a free demo for a week or so....of course I wish it was "automatic" with the Tesla App.
I rent both my Y and CT on Turo so I like to know WTF is going on around my cars, it works with both on one subscription.

Based on your post I downloaded and paid for it. When you get a notification how do you view the video?
Also in my other non Tesla cars my dash cams aftermarket record for seven days and you can go back and view any recording easily. At a 100 bucks each they have saved my lots on insurance claims. Can you do this on the cybertruck? If not I have to figure out how to use 12v dash cams in the truck.

You will get a SentryPro alert (be sure to enable alerts in your OS). You click the alert it opens SentryPro briefly then goes right into your Tesla App and open "Live Cameras" where you can view live what's going on....
However if the people leave before you view you won't see much going on "live"....in that case you need to return to the vehicle and review the sentry mode videos from the touchscreen.

Sadly Tesla doesn't allow us to review such videos in the app, you must be in the car.

I had my 2nd sentry mode preview in my CT yesterday. I've never had one in my MS or MY, but the alarm was going off. Once the alarm stopped the "Sentry mode preview" video was no longer available.

That makes sense because I got the alerts once I used it when I downloaded the app, but there was nothing there so it’s basically an alert of movement not an alert of a recording? I guess I’m going to have to figure out how to put a dash cam in it.

It's an alert of recording by the truck, but you can only view live on the app, thus to view the video the truck captured you need to view it on the touchscreen.

Just turn it on in the truck and don't check exceptions like home or work.
