Of the top 12 institutional investors by number of shares owned, #1, 3, 4, 5, 6 (possibly) and 10 are poised to vote against the pay package, as was done in 2018.

I can understand people wanting Musk paid because the stock price is expected to take a bigger hit if elon leaves the company vs getting paid and diluting shareholders. Top institutional investors seem to think the prospects of recovery after Musk are better than paying up.

"If Tesla loses Elon the company will lose its drive to innovate. That's what the powers that be want to happen". End of Story
The company that's dependent on one man is doomed.

Tesla's current problem is exactly that it's too Elon centric and the directors are spineless.

Don't kid yourself, the very reason we are here and the Cybertruck even exists is because Elon is at the helm of Tesla.

So here are my big questions:

-How will $TSLA stock react short term if the pay package fails, or if it passes?
-Same question, long term
-Finally, what will happen to $TSLA stock if Elon takes his AI and goes elsewhere completely?

I think if Tesla lost Elon, it would be a huge short term negative and the long term effect would be a struggle to regain any traction. I fear for the loss of innovation and could foresee Tesla simply becoming another Detroit style auto company.

What do others think?
@HaulingAss what are your thoughts?
