Shop credit

I received my VIN about 10 days ago so I guess my FS will appear shortly
I have a whole house generator so I don’t need the power share. I understand that in lieu of purchasing the PS I will get a $2500 shop credit. Based upon conversations with Tesla advisor I must use the shop credit all at once however most of the items I want to purchase are out of stock
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
How was it resolved
Any suggestions

Welcome to the CT club!!

Since you are will be a recent delivery, you should get the $2,500 as a shop credit that can be used like a gift card (use it as you find things that you want in-stock). It will have an expiration date (usually about one year from issuance).

Us poor, unfortunate early delivery folks got the "use-it-all-at-once-or-lose-the-balance" vouchers. I took delivery on 5/30 and still haven't used my voucher because, as you saw, things are seldom in-stock all at once, haha!!

We are hoping that Tesla will see the light and convert our vouchers to shop credit, but hope is fading, haha!!

tl;dr: You will get an email explaining the shop credit and should be able to use it as you like.
