Just a quick fyi for anyone seeing this. If you crack or break that lower half of the side mirror you have to replace the entire side mirror as Tesla doesn't sell the bottom half as a standalone part (but they do sell the top half which they call the skull cap). The whole side mirror was like $700 I think so this mod might be a cheaper alternative if you end up in that situation like I did. I ended up going a cheaper route and glued and sanded mines back together but had I known about this I may have done this instead at the time.

I hadn't thought about it but Iif Tesla the bottoms this would be a good alternative, or find someone who has installed these to see if they will sell their bottoms.

No watch again, when the front turn signal comes on the mirror strip begins to light up, the animation on the mirror lasts about as long as the front turn signal is lit up. This pattern repeats consistently it doesn't go in and out or phase or anything. I think you may just be seeing an optical illusion, focus on the time each light comes on and you'll see. Hope that helps.
